It’s probably why in 40 years, I’ve only ever been to one rally/protest. Looking back, I was really only there more to support my friends attending then the cause. I don’t even believe I signed the petition being passed around.
I wouldn't waste time on paying attention to online petitions. I don't think they actually compare to things like a rally or protest that you show up to in person. Nor do they compare to what consumers express by how they choose to spend. I feel line online petitions end up getting overreported, because they are the easiest (and cheapest) clickbait story in the world. You don't have to get up from the desk or lift the phone to do the "reporting", and no matter how unrepresentative those who opted in with a single click to the petition may be, you are guaranteed to get some 'look at what the angry fans are doing now!' traffic going. Cynically, I sometimes wonder if some entertainment content writers start these themselves just to have an easy piece to post. I don't think they are worth your time to think about.
I'm curious if anyone else has this experience. I own a majority of the MCU releases and I've watched them numerous times. All, that is with the exception of infinity War. I watched it once in the theater and haven't had the desire to view it again. I feel the same about End Game. I'll probably purchase the Blu Ray, but don't feel a need to view it immediatly. I like both movies. They're a solid finish to a historic series of movies. I dont love them and I can't put my finger on why.
@aquatroy, I thought both films were as close to perfect as almost any film can be, but only Endgame does not hold up to repeat viewings for me because so much of the first half of the film is devoted to mourning and figuring out what to do next. The first time around I wanted to see that kind of character development and time devoted to the unpredictable nature of figuring out the impossible, but it's not the kind of thing that makes for entertaining rewatches like Infinity War's multiple battles.
@aquatroy 3 hours doesn't lend itself to repeat viewings. It's the same reason I've never rewatched the Lord of the Rings movies. They're just too long. Even if I had a desire to rewatch them, I'm never going to convince my wife to watch a 3 hour movie she's already seen. But she'll rewatch Black Panther over and over. That one's not even short... but it's tight. There's no fluff. As much as I loved both Infinity War and End Game it's unlikely I'll see them many more times.
I own almost all of them (no rush to get Captain Marvel), but I find its Iron Man, the Cap trilogy, & the first 3 Avengers movies are the ones I watch repeatedly. I look forward to watching Endgame again, so it probably won’t be as often as the other movies, but I feel like if I’m watching Infinity War, I need to follow up with Endgame shortly thereafter.
Truthfully, for the better part of the past year, the MCU movies have been the only ones I’ve bought for home viewing. Nearly every movie I’ve caught on Netflix I was disappointed with, so there’s been no need to expand my Blu-ray library.
So, it’s crossed the marker. Disney “found” about $2 million that puts it over the record. I hope it gets another $2 million before it’s done. That sounds suspicious to me.
I came across this from SDCC with the writers. There’s one with the Russo brothers, but that’s less focused on Infinity War & Endgame. It’s nearly an hour, but I found it interesting.
I had issues with the Captain Marvel movie (and so those who do it, don’t jump ugly on me about Larson, my issues are with the movie) and some with Endgame...but this seems ridiculous.
Danvers & Wanda both got their powers through Infinity Stones. Both held her own against Thanos. I probably would’ve had more issue with Danvers v. Thanos if there wasn’t also a moment with Wanda v. Thanos.

As I get older, I realize I just lack the conviction for this type of movement like some people do:

In general, I just lack the conviction for these type of things. I think because I’ve never been fully onboard.
There are other exaggerated or agenda driven narratives put out there. An outlet creating one of these to writing about it wouldn’t surprise me.

Excellent. Now I have a great reason to see it a second time. Especially since I’ve skipped Dark Phoenix.
This should push it over Avatar.

At this point, I think that’s across the board. Reportedly, it’s the only studio making any real cheddar cheese at the box office so far this year.

I like the idea, but not the order.
This one isn’t too bad either, though I think Ghost Rider & FF should’ve been added.
