weird way to start off this thread on the new forums, but i just came across this forbes article where the headline had me wincing - "Big 'The Dark Knight Rises' Spoiler Revealed By Warner Bros. - Read At Your Own Risk".

well, wtf! is it a spoiler if warner brothers, or, say, christopher nolan, or someone else like that, says it? i have not read it.

also, want new trailer so bad. maybe a trailer will contain a spoiler. :( i have heard discussions on that before.

I've barely been paying attention to the movie and I already knew about this "news" months ago.

All the other trailers gave me a very impartial feeling about this. I'm a little more excited now. Maybe it's just Avengers jitters, and next week I'll be thrilled.

I've watched this trailer 4 times. With this trailer, the last one, and what I know about the storylines it's based on, I am fairly certain I know all the major beats of the plot and how it ends. Kinda screwed myself there!

That is very true. Alright here's something I'm wondering if Nolan would have the guts to do.
The line from Catwoman, "You've given these people everything" Batman, "Not everything."

Could Nolan possibly kill him off?

if DC had planned on a cinematic universe a la Marvel when Rises started shooting, and if Nolan was completely on board, it would work both ways if they killed Bruce in the end. or at least passed the mantle. that way, Nolan's trilogy would wrap up and hold together well, but open it enough to bridge to a more general DC movie universe.

As for myself, rather than paying $40.00 for the IMAX presentation, I opted for Cupertino's AMC 16 $25.00 Trilogy package. My rational for the getting the cheaper package was that I can always apply that $15.00 savings to a future IMAX showing.

I can't see any way that there will be a Justice League or further Batman movies without Bruce Wayne. I think there will be a complete relaunch after this movie (unless it makes so much money that WB backs a brinks truck up to Bale and Nolan's doors and just unload money on them). The movie seems to be a combination of Dark Knight Returns and Knighfall. I don't think that JGL will be in any costume.

I doubt it. Neither Bale or Nolan have ever really been the type of people to just do things for money. I mean the most mainstream things Bale has done were Reign of Fire and Terminator Salvation & the most mainstream thing Nolan has done was Insomnia.
