No episode. Whether right or wrong, Mike posted on Facebook that he's been booted off the show and Flint took upon himself to bring it up on the forums.
@random73 - I know man, just don't feel comfortable bringing it up. Mike posted that he has been kicked off the show. As to details as to why's and what not, I think that should come from Mike and the CGS crew.
They can answer. The question wasn't directed to you. if you don't know the answer or don't feel it is your place don't sweat it. but somebody does. i expect a certain level of transparency from the show. I don't want a spin doctor doing damage control. whats up?
I have to say that I took a completely different meaning from the topic header, and initially thought Mike had done something spectacular to lead off the program...
Really? He was actually a good voice on the show. And he saw things from an artists point of view. It's a sad day.
Stay classy CGS!
who marked this as "off topic"? @Flintlockjaw started the thread therfore it is the topic of the thread by defintion! myabe you think it is inappropriate for this forum but as I said before the genie is out of the bottle. you might reasonably be able to mark "dislike" but "off topic" is just silly.
I like having Mike cuz i disagreed with a lot of his opinions (but not Rocafort) and that was ok. It helped me see other sides of the story. If true, sorry to see it happen. If not, then its proof that we forumites love our DRAMA!
Patience is a virtue. Not a virtue I happen to posses but a virtue...
I disagree with Mike more often than i don't (largely because he is wrong about pretty much everything) but I still like having a consistent dissenting opinion on the show. I think Pant's is doing a great job but more voices DO make for a better show. losing a strong consistent voice at this stage is not a fantastic idea.
Let me just remind everyone that there are two sides to every story. I'll leave it at that and I do hope you all wait until the CGS folks give their side, if they choose to do so.
I wanted to get out in front of this, but my internet was down.
Yes, Mike is no longer a part of CGS. I agree that Mike offered an opinion and a viewpoint that added to the mix on the show. No doubt about it. He's a good guy and he knows his comics.
However, for reasons which I will not go into, I had to make the very difficult decision to remove Mike from the show.
I hope that everyone trusts that it wasn't easy, but that my choice is justified.
The show will go on, and change will happen. Hopefully we will make the most of this change and continue our tradition of quality podcasting.
In the interest of honesty, I have to ask if I'm the only one who found those two official statements to be very "PC" and sound like they were written by a PR firm?
Did Mike fail the drug test? Did he get caught with synthetic urine?
I'm going to miss Mike. There were times he came off as unnecessarily contentious (Mike, you're still wrong about Catwoman #1). However, he also brought a perspective that the others can't touch.
I hope the Eurocomic goes well for you. Keep chasing the dream.

Nope. Not just you. Didn't say much did it? What hideous sin does one do to get fired from a podcast?

Either way, Change is gonna happen.
Lets be patient and just see what develops...

I don't know the reasons behind the decision but I hope the group can still remain friends with him.
And @I_am_scifi that's all I'm asking for. What is the story.

Any chance the void will be filled with an increased Deemer presence? :)
I saw Mike this evening and he was very upbeat about the many comic projects he's currently working on and I wish him the best of luck in the future.
