Aw shit they brought in Eiling?!? :) Had to explain who he becomes to my wife and she's like "How does the Flash take him out?" and I'm like "The whole Justice League can't take him out."
Little bummed that Plastique was a one and done. But Grodd is out there...bwa ha ha haaa!!!
My initial thought on this episode was that it was... awesome!
I hope they bring Plastique back... she barely had any screen time. Running UP a building? Check! Running ON water? Check! Blurred Face & Vocal Tricks? I think I've seen the blurring thing in comics, but the voice disguise was new to me. Hoping they can do Grodd justice on the TV budget.
I'll say this: Plastique, while cool, was a bit wooden in her first few moments. In terms of the actress that is. She grew on me very quickly. But that's just my opinion.
Also, was anyone else just WAITING for her to be a snippy little con artist like the Plastique from Smallville? Cause I think my enjoyment of her might have been affected by that particular portrayal.
I have to say, that given Eiling's appearance, when they presented the teaser at the end and were talking about the super-soldier program, I was almost certain we were going to see a Captain Atom failure. I was surprised when it turned out to be Grodd. Not unpleasantly surprised, and I really should have known better, given that we were shown the shattered cage in the first episode.
The Reverse Flash has to be Wells because he's the only other than Barry and Joe who knew about them investigating Barry's mom's death. Unless Wells told The real Reverse Flash.

There are at least two general ways that someone else could know.
1. Someone was spying on their conversation.
2. Time travel. That's the possibility that Wells didn't tell Joe, and since we know more about the Flash's capabilities than all, except maybe Wells, the people in this universe, we have to take that into account. And it could even be combined with #1.
Time travel. I was thinking it the whole time. I liked the episode overall. I'm really digging the interaction between Barry and Eddie. I'm so intrigued by who might be the Reverse Flash
A little spoiler Clyde Mardon brother will return for revenge as the real Weather Wizard. He will be the other villain along side Captain Boomerang in The Flash Arrow crossover.
I have no idea what it was, but I wasn't too thrilled with last nights episode.
It has something to do with the acting....I'm assuming the villain for the episode since I don't really had any issues with Barry or Iris...
It was lame. The villian was just some bully, totally generic and completely 1-dimensional. The story was cliche, down to Eddie and Barry's bonding moment over the punching bag. And the conclusion was kind of a re-hash of the vastly superior episode last week where the only way to succeed is for Barry to use his powers in a previously untested manner where failure would be tragic.
Also, when are we going to get an episode that doesn't end on the "evil is afoot!" note. Even as much as half the time is fine, but c'mon every week? It's not like the scenes have done much to advance the thread. Certainly, we could have come this far with only half as many foreboding omens.
It was just a bad episode.
Scenes with Joe and Harrison were pretty great though.
We enjoyed this episode. It was classic - need to learn how to fight! Especially with Iris delivering the knock out punch - my kids loved that. And gave her something more than just being in distress. My wife especially cheered for that. I mean - how cool was the Barry image coming through the door after the run? Family friendly show - and I'm thankful for it. I think it's funny that those after scenes are being critiqued so harshly. It's not all that different from the scenes at the end of the Marvel movies. We're just getting them on a weekly basis - so I suppose some are just not into the fun of them as cliffhangers. Oh well. My family is there every Tuesday! Haha.

The problem with the after-scenes is that they have been hitting the same beat over and over again without significantly adding to it. So far all I needed was, Harrison Wells isn't what he seems to be (the first time), Grodd is out there and Reverse Flash threatens Joe. The rest are superfluous and some actually undermine dramatic tension (I'm looking at you Simon Stagg) by spelling things out.
The MCU movies, those post credit scenes vary in tone and subject matter. MAoS is similar in that the scenes are also used to humorously highlight the effects of earlier scenes or tease the next episode in addition to weaving an arc thread.
I thought the episode was very good. Barry is learning how to use his powers. In a first season you're going to get that. They did that with Smallville for more than three seasons. I'm hoping we start getting "Flash Facts" soon. I don't mind the villain is a bully thing. There is a reason shows and even movies go back to that well. It's relatable and it works on a variety of levels. I also like those ending scenes. They are just fun stuff that gets me excited for the next episode.
The case for those ending scenes: When Joe encounters RF for the first time, my wife (never a huge fan of Flash the superhero but loving this series) quite literally went "No...NO!" because she thought he was coming to kill him.

They're doing their job.
My wife (a pop culture fan but not so much a comic gal) legitimately put her had to her mouth and gasped at that scene. So is say it worked.
Glad you caught those names. All I heard was "Ralph Dibney" and thought maybe he actually survived!!
Yeah, that list rattled by pretty quick, but I perked up as soon as I heard Ralph's name. Ronnie Raymond MUST make an appearance as Firestorm soon (it is a given). Fingers crossed, that other names on Wells' list show up too!

No body, not dead.

This the show I look most forward to each week.

But my gut says it is Wells.
