I see the NFL is still debating what is and isn’t a catch
Stupid. Just stupid.
Regarding the new "leading with the head" rule. The other day I was channel surfing and watched a little Rugby. I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea for NFL teams to bring in some Rugby coaches to teach them the Rugby Tackle?
The movie poster was designed by the InSync Plus agency.
Nice detective work Eric! The plot thickens. I just tweeted Tim Daniel to ask if he was going to credit the poster designer when the book finally publishes.
In the spirit of swipes - I'm failing utterly in my image posting skills currently.

I feel like I'd call this one an homage. I mean, it is referencing such an iconic poster, and not just swiping a pose, rather they are going for it all the way down to the exact same tire in the same broken place on the vehicle in the background. I feel like in this case the cover artist wants us to know it is an homage. To me swipe implies they are trying to get away with something. But, that is just my take on it. I can respect if others see it as an attempt to swipe. It's tricky, I suppose, when someone is referencing a key art image like a movie poster, and may not know (or can no longer find out) who the original artist/designer was, which doesn't allow that "After XYZ name" (e.g. After Kirby) indicator that I think helps put the swipe or homage question to rest when someone homages a prior piece of comic art.

You could be right. As soon as I saw it I knew it was something but it took about 5 minutes longer to figure out than it did to read it and it had almost as little to do with the story as the poster did with the image.
The funny part, at least for me, is that the element that I kept focusing in on most was his left hand - where the pose most deviated from the source material.

So here is to hope. Scientists are trying to get Pluto reinstated as a planet. It's a running joke in our house that Pluto got kicked out of the planet club.
Dwarf planet my butt; Let's make Pluto great again!

I'm in the more accurate taxonomy is better camp. If that means planet becomes a generic term, I'm OK with that. However, I didn't see this kind of consternation when the term gas giant was coined for Saturn and Jupiter. If, on the other hand, it gets added, I trust that we'll see Eris and the other dwarf planets similarly promoted.
Backroom is getting a facelift. Everything is coming off the shelves. Playroom version 3.01. I'll try to post up pictures of the before and after and progress. Update: One shelf down.
Second shelf cleaned. One casualty, the Lego Harry Potter Knight bus met the floor.
Third bookshelf cleaned. Now it's time for the removal of the shelves.
Fourth and final shelf cleaned and all shelves are removed. Next up home Depot run for bolts
Shelf 3 & 4 disassembled and about to be combined.
Final update for night shelves were combined and my comics are reshelved.
Update: Shelf 3 has been filled & the kids books have been moved to shelf 4
Final update for day 2, shelf #4 was finished and filled with books & games. The rest of the board games were shelved.
I'm down to building one last shelf bookshelf for cookbooks. I'll get the pieces down from the attic this evening and then get to work. Hopefully I'll can get that up for so my wife can get to reshelving and then put the finishing touches on the room.
(Don't worry, the link is only to an article about this. Should be safe for work. Well, depending on where you work. I mean. You may work somewhere that they don't want you reading about funnybooks at work.)

Just a thought.

I am so smart, S-M-R-T!
Also picked up the Graphic Ink Frank Quitely book for the same price.

So close yet so far away
New additions are at the bottom of each letter category.
Also, yes there will be more Youngblood at some point.
Also, as much as I love AGoT, this season did not deserve Best Dramatic Series.
I just wonder if future Overstreet Price Guides will mark this special first appearance (first printing only).
