The person who got a free pass for his behavior was Dustin Rhodes. Dustin got named in the lawsuit against the WWE and was sued personally by the other flight attendant on the plane. He grabbed the other flight attendant's private parts and put her hands on his junk before JR sat him down.
The Kenny Omega/Bryan Danielson match on last week’s AEW dynamite was a good one. If you have any type of on demand feature, it is still available. It is the first match on the show.
Even Cornette praised it and Omega is a distant but still strong 2nd on Cornette’s hate list behind Vince Russo.
Boys I have been out of AEW basically since week 3. But I would keep up with it and watch clips or matches.
Then exploding barbwire death match happened and I watched it in disgust. I swore off AEW for that terrible match, and looked at anyone who defended it as a clueless moron.
The wrestling text thread I am in, showed me Jericho taking a dive through the 1/8 inch plyboard and I decided the dopes that still watch that garbage deserve what you get when you drink the Kool aid.
However I decided to catch the punk debut after I heard it was good. I've caught a few moments since and I can say AEW is really improving. I won't go so far to say it is good, but I will watch full matches now. I haven't watched a second of WWE since March.
@mwhitt80 this was the first full episode I have ever watched of AEW. I had seen clips of Jericho when he was the champ but that was it.
Overall, this one episode was good. The only real bad parts was:
Cody Rhodes wife getting involved in his match.
Arn Anderson being too old and fat to walk around the ring apron. He was in the wrong place for his spot and while attempting to get in the right place, he fell off the apron and then had to get up and back on the apron for Cody to knock him off again. It was sad to see the enforcer like this.
The women’s title match was ok but it was not good enough for the end of the show main event spot. I get why they put Omega/Danielson on first, but they needed something better for that last match. Dr. Britt Baker is over though as a heel.
The episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling from July 1980 where Ole Anderson explains his turn on Dusty Rhodes. Yeah, it was a convoluted evil master plan but Ole explains it and everything makes sense. Classic Pro Wrestling
Over the past 2 months I've gotten back into re-watching old episodes of the NWA Wildside tv show.
Back in June of 2020 a buddy and I were talking about how we had each seen a bit of Wildside when it was airing in the late 90s/early 2000s. Saw that IWTV has the first 100 episodes and most of the big events. So each day my buddy and I would sit there watch and episode and chat. Sadly early Sept 2020 my buddy passed. And I stopped watching Wildside.
Last weekend ordered and watched the first Terminus PPV. This is a new indie based in Atlanta ran by Jonathan Gresham. Outside of one match the show was really good. Plus it was cheap to buy,15 bucks on FITE.
Right now prepping for next month. Going the first weekend in Feb to Natchez for a BIW event. I got in 30 lucha masks to sell. Plus got a pile of overstock items from Pro Wrestling Tees to sell.
Then later in Feb Impact Wrestling is coming to NOLA,well really Westwego, for a PPV then the next day they are taping a months worth of Impact tv episodes. Plan is to hit up the tv taping day.
Been coming up with sign ideas for the TV tapings. So far got the following...
"Luke Hawx is a Wank Pheasant"-Years ago someone had a sign like this but replace Hawx with Roman Reigns.
"Bring Back Funaki!" Kind of an inside joke. For years now I have said the only way WWE could get me to watch their weekly shows was bringing back Funaki and giving him a long title run.
Well the Natchez BIW show has passed. Did great at my table, sold 15 lucha masks and a pile of the WWE poker chips I have made into pins.
And for the first time ever my mother decided she wanted to come to a wrestling show. Now most shows my father will come and watch my table while I film.
It was an hour before the doors opened, when a buddy's lil brother ran in to tell me my Dad was outside and needed me. Seems as Dad was turning into the parking lot he hit another car. No major damage no one was hurt.
Going on Sunday to NOLA for the Impact TV tapings. IIRC what I see Sunday will be aired next week then the first 3 Thursdays in March.
Since the venue is requiring you to wear a mask I'm gonna bring my Bandito mask to wear. So if any of yall watch Impact look for a tall guy in a Bandito mask sitting near the entrance ramp.

Beautiful Bobby Eaton of the Midnight Express passed away.
I watched Bobby and the Midnight for most of my young fandom. By all accounts he was a great guy and one of the greatest in ring wrestlers.
RIP Beautiful Bobby.
I have a 10 dvd (I think 10 anyway) comp set of the Midnight Express that I will have to break out this weekend.
Man, WWE managed to find the ONE THING to muck up B** L**'s return...

The Plane Ride from Hell episode of darkside of the ring has stirred up a hornets nest in wrestling.
I guess this is what happens when almost everyone involved is still alive and beloved, and acted atrociously.

This may have finally been the thing to shut down Space Mountain. I am not sure if Flair can come back from this.

Overall, this one episode was good. The only real bad parts was:
I got back into AEW when They had Jeri-Gut vs Nick Gage on DYnamite. But now what 5 weeks later I'm having trouble finding time to watch AEW.
Looks like I'm back to watching MLW,IMpact and ROH each week.
Live from Tokyo in 1985.
Ric Flair vs Rick Martel
Flair is the NWA champ and Martel is the AWA champ.
