@EarthGBilly Or I have somewhat of an understanding of what Christian Science stands for and find it hard to take seriously anyone who thinks death and disease aren't real. While on the topic of Christianity;I also feel that if it wasn't for that religion we would be at least a few hundred years head of where we are now in terms of science and medicine. Now if you would like to continue this discussion/debate/whatever it is we should prob do it via PMs so this thread does not get locked.
No, that's okay. I've chosen to dismiss the views of someone who would see a single word and make a sweeping judgment. There never was a discussion.
@EarthGBilly You're right I only saw word Christian and not the word science . There never seems to be discussions with religious folk;it tends to be their way of thinking or the other person is just dismissible and savable. Glad to know religion has given you an open mind.
OK,OK,OK;i promise I'm done with that in this thread.
@DoctorDoom That seems like a nice geeky site. I'm deff gonna watch most of the game reviews on there.

Again, there was never a discussion. There was a lobbed snide comment, which you have every right and freedom to make.
Just as I have every right and freedom to take offense at or dismiss. I chose to dismiss.
Your belief that I should enter into a private conversation discussing your views because.... well, I can't really figure out why you think I would want to get into that discussion with you.
Because of the "open mind" you demonstrated in your comments thus far?
I don't have any problem with people believing what they want to believe and I don't even really have a problem with those beliefs offending someone else (in fact, I have a lot of respect for people who hold beliefs that are offensive to others, but still stick to them anyway, provided it's not something really repulsive like Nazism). What I do have a problem with is getting facts wrong.
Fact - The Christian Science Monitor is NOT a religious newspaper. It got it's name because it was started with Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist. The only nods she gave to her church were the title of the paper and that she wanted it to run one religious article in each publication. The rest of the paper is entirely secular. It has actually won seven Pulitzers and is a very respected, even if not terribly high-selling (probably because of prejudices associated with its name) newspaper. Google them if you want to see what the Pulitzers they won are for. The Christian Science JOURNAL on the other hand is published by the same group and is a religious paper.
Fact - You balked at the word "Christian" but Christian Science and the Christian religion are two quite different things. I know the name is confusing and at one time I thought the term "Christian Scientist" just referred to people who didn't believe in evolution. That's something very different though. "Christian Science" is it's own religion that to be quite frank is fairly kooky. Actually, re-reading your response, you do actually acknowledge that, so that's my mistake (but I'll leave this in anyway in case anybody else reading this was curious). Although the rest of that post does include some statements that I would think you'd have a hard time supporting with a look at some historical facts, but that's not something worth getting into here.

Pot, meet kettle. I actually used to work with these two people (well, I still work with one, but the other quit a while ago) that were so much fun to work with because I would just watch them argue politics and laugh. One of them swallowed whatever the right fed them and the other swallowed whatever the left fed them and neither would concede a point to the other no matter how valid it was (and to be clear, it was friendly debate, but still amusing nonetheless).
But back on topic, I got that geeky but not too geeky result. I was kinda surprised I even got that geeky since this geek test focused on elements of geekhood that I'm not all that into (like a lot of gaming stuff).
@Eric_C the basketball picture is a dead giveaway. I enjoy fishing, hunting and other "real" sports to get overly geeky. Heck my favorite publicatiob about fishing is the BassPro Catalog....uhmmm....
I am a Christian, liberal, geek, and scientist. Regardless of who proctors the quiz, I didn't need to take it to tell me that.
As for my results. "You are a geek Congratulations! You exhibit many geeky traits, but not so many that we should be worried."
I think this quiz is much more fun if someone reads you the questions, and you answer them as you see fit. Take for instance that pi question. The answer I gave was five digits, but I would supplemented that answer with a mention that in 2010, I took pi to infinity and beyond (rounded up of course). < link to the pi is a lie too >

Congratulations! You exhibit many geeky traits, but not so many that we should be worried. Woot!
It's a name that you can trust, right up there with Doctor Doom.
