Crossbones - took a great, simple design and turned it into a 90's villain costume.
Is it so out of character from the costume design in the MCU so far? Daredevil was practically the 90's armor costume, and between the shoulder pads, the buckles and the pouches, Cap is one glowing eye away from being Cable.
I think there used to be a time when productions like this tried their best to keep all photos out of the media. Now, it seems like they've all decided "Hey, whats the big deal? Show the fans some random, out of context set photos of people and get free publicity for our movie. We're going to be spending over $100 MILLION marketing this thing, lets let them do some of the work for us."
There's also very little to "spoil" in cap3s case. We know the players. We know the premise. And we basically know all the looks.
Oh don't worry... there is lots to spoil. Fingers crossed they can keep most of it under wraps. I doubt it, but personally, I don't want to know anymore (although I can't help myself). Like you said, we know enough already... I'm going to see it regardless. I would rather not even see a trailer.
Animation artist James Rothwell, who as of late has been posting a number of alternate scene recreations from The Winter Soldier, also recently introduced this intriguing take on the computerized Arnim Zola in his HYDRA exposition scene. Cobbling the scene together based on storyboards, Rothwell depicts a sequence that not only renders Cap more fixated on his past, but a version of Zola whose motivations are radically different and who negotiates with Cap for his own escape.

An alternate scene (animatic / storyboard style) of the Camp Lehigh / Zola scene from Cap 2. Quite well done.
