Got this around the same time I got that Weird comics book. This is a great one stop place for info on all the crap that was sold thru ads in comic books.
After searching for years for this out of print and now very expensive book, used copies go for between 300 and 500 bucks,I got a copy and read it. If you love the 70s and 80s terrritory days of pro wrestling this is a book you must read.
4.75 outta 5
Reading through this thread all at once.
I have this book as well. I was one of the lucky ones who got a copy from the Hart family shortly after Gary passed. His sons basically just sold the limited amount of copies they had and then it was done. I do not think the print run of this was very large to start with. I love the book.
I am doing two reading projects of my own. One for regular books which I started last January and one for comic trades which I started last October. I just finished book for of the regular books last night (The Soviet Crushing of Eastern Europe 1944-1956) and I am on book 48 (I think) of comics trades. Right now, I am reading the Justice League of America Omnibus.

Since I posted that review here and a few other places I have had half the local indy wrestlers contact me and ask me if they could borrow my copy of the book.
Anyone that likes cop shows, pulp adventures and stuff like that needs to at least flip thru this great reference book. And it is pretty thorough. I mean hell it has an entry for Star Comics short lived Planet Terry comic.
Used to love the various books like this I would find at elementary school book fairs. Usually they covered horror films up until about 65. With the main focus being on the Universal stuff.
Since I lost my nice UK hardcover release that contained all the volumes,I was given this UK hardcover release of vol 1 last year. I love all the Barker artwork on the dust jacket.
It is thanks to the CGS gang that I got back into comics. And thanks to their issue by issue reviews of this series that I got the trade.Normally I do not care for Geoff Johns writing but it works in this series.
Grabbed this mid 80s,Jeff Rovin written book for cheap earlier this year. And it joined two movie reference books as part of my bathroom reading material.
American Creation: The Triumps and Tragedies of the Founding of the Republic by Joesph J. Ellis
Comics:
Astro City: Life in the Big City The Complete Calvin & Hobbes Book Two 1987-1989 Catwoman "When in Rome" DC Showcase: Teen Titans vol 2 Secret Six vol 1: Villians United
Since Heroes recently came back I dug out this original novel. Which is set during the first season when Hiro traveled back into time. If you enjoyed season 1 this novel is worth tracking down.
Whatever happened to Larry Stroman. Seems after Tribe failed he just disappeared. From talking to various people in the comic book industry I keep hearing that Stroman was hard to work with.
Anyways this collection of the last 7 issues of the second Alien Legion series from Epic is worth reading.

I thought he cashed out huge with incomplete tribe and mostly quit comics. I'll have to reread that section in the Image book by Twomorrows.
@nweathington would probably be to tell us more Reread the section - Stroman and Johnson became Detroit landlords after the tribe money from Image came in. Stroman left comics after issue 3 of Tribe.
Well, there’s this. But it doesn't appear it got many backers. He still does commissions though, and he's hinted that he's working on something else too.
Outside of a bit of padding, there was no need for this story to take 10 issues, and the sameness I find that most art in Dynamite books has, this was a decent read.

The first issue of Tribe sported a cool black and gold embossed cover, so it sold really well. I thought the book was kind of awful.
However, the last Dynamite series (6 issue mini) of Six Million Dollar Man Season 6 was pretty darn good.
Currently, I'm reading Mark Millar's Starlight tpb. Loving it so far.

Back when this came out, since DVD was just hitting the North American market, lots of the films reviewed in the book were hard to come by.
I got this horror reference book not long after getting the VideoHound Cult movie one.

Assassin: The Man Behind The Mask by Joe Hamiliton and Scott Teal.
(At times Hamiliton was known as the Assassian, Assassian #1 or 2, or the Flame - depending on where he was wrestling and who is partner was)
