Everyone fights a shark at some point in the late ’70s, even guys with flaming heads. Pencils (or maybe just layouts) by Ed Hannigan, inks (or maybe finishes) by Dave Cockrum.
Today’s entry from the DC cover-a-day calendar: Justice League of America #137 (Dec. 1976), penciled by Ernie “Chua” Chan, and inked by Frank McLaughlin.
Today’s entry from the DC cover-a-day calendar: Superman: Lex 2000 (Jan. 2001), painted by Glen Orbik and Laurel Blechman. I really like Orbik’s work. It has a real 1930s/’40s pulp magazine feel. It’s a shame he passed away so young just a few years back. Blechman not only collaborated with Orbik regularly on paintings, but they were a couple as well.
Today’s entry from the DC cover-a-day calendar: Superman #146 (July 1961), by Curt Swan and inked by Sheldon Moldoff... or is it? When I was googling for a scan to post, I noticed the cover looked a little different from the image used in the calendar. A little digging around, and I discovered they didn't use the original cover, but rather a recreation by Mike Zeck done for DC’s licensing department. So technically the credit line should read: Superman #146 recreation penciled and inked by Mike Zeck after Curt Swan and Sheldon Moldoff.
Artist Scott Brown has one of the covers of Bully Wars #1 that is on the stands today. He has past comics work, but this is his first (of hopefully many) at Image. Looking forward to getting some pictures on this on the racks at Midtown Comics for him later today.

Cover might be pencilled by Harry Sahle, but I cannot confirm.
I like the fact that he has the additional hazard of bullets
