I was reunited with my comics a few months ago (after 10 years, and not really looking at them for closer to 17). I was sorting them when I came across this cover. It made me LOL which gets it posted here!
@Caliban Yeah, I'm not only enjoying, but learning a lot, too. I don't associate Romita Sr. with horror covers, yet several have popped up from 1973 already...and, of course, I'm seeing tons of U.K. stuff I didn't know about! ;)

@peedmyself That is pretty dang funny...bit more "realistic" than those 50's romance covers...
So, back in 1973, here's another cover by John Romita, Sr., it appears.
Also, note to self, if I'm considering sitting down to a poker game with three guys who look like this, maybe I should find another game...
(And decidedly inspired by The (Steed & Peel) Avengers and Our Man Flint.)
Of course NatLamp did have comics in it...
This thread continues to do great things
Heck, Defenders was just one of my favorite titles as a kid.
I even had a subscription (which meant they arrived FOLDED in HALF...ha)
Cover by Bryan Hitch.
This one had interior reprints from Adventures Into Weird Worlds (1952).
Or an outtake from the Evil Dead remake.
