A couple of ads that popped up in some of the Incredible Hulk comics I've been re-reading (roughly 3 years into Peter David's run, around 1989).
Controversial statement time: The Road Warriors were my favorite tag team, back in the day, so I loved this ad. And I was lucky enough to see them wrestle up here in Bangor, Maine around 1990-1991. It wasn't a televised show, so I also got to see Rowdy Roddy Piper defeat the Undertaker in a body bag match that night, as well. Good times.
A 1944 ad for a free membership kit to the Junior JSA. All you had to do was donate 15¢ to the March of Dimes. Art by Joe Gallagher and Harry Peter (Wonder Woman figures only).
From 1950 to 1956, Win Mortimer drew a series of public service ads for DC. These were one-page stories with a message for the readers on topics like sportsmanship, the United Nations, personal health and hygiene, and just being a better person. Here’s a sample:
Been reading Byrne's FF for the first time (or, at least, the first time since I read my cousin's copies when they were initially published---I don't remember anything from that reading), and found these two ads.
I really enjoy this era of Star Wars comics, from Marvel's first time around with the license. With the completion of the trilogy, it felt like they could branch out (a little bit) with their stories. As a villain, I really enjoy Lumiya, and the writing by Jo Duffy and art from Cynthia Martin are pretty damn good. Of course, the highlights, often, were the covers from Sienkiewicz--always amazing.
I sent off for and received that Batman Fig Newtons comic... it was all newsprint, not even a glossy cover. It reprints only the first Batman story, not even the complete comic. It's only about 16 pages long, and came folded in half.

When Cool World came out my mom and her best friend went because they thought it was going to be like Roger Rabbit!
That is still a super memorable poster/ad for such a not good movie.

Definitely two different Batman's here...
At least the Fig Newtons were good.
Adventure has myriad names.
