This was the series where Sienkiewicz really broke out as an artist, and started moving away from that Neal Adams look. I remember my friends and I all sat up and took notice as his work began getting more experimental. His next series, New Mutants, was where he really broke ground.

Yep. You can see the growth from the #5 to the #8 covers.
@Caliban I don't think that last cover showed up -- it just says "image" -- but you got my interest with "George Perez and Joe Sinnott," you tease! ;-)
@RobAnderson Fixed it. Unfortunately the cover scans of Super-Villain Team-UP are not great quality on ComicDB so I was using comics.org for that one but it didn't work

Still a great thread ^:)^
@Caliban And that's still a fun cover, murky scan or not! This is a fun thread!
@Webhead there's something hilarious (albeit very courteous) about your blocking out that cover. It's almost funnier blocked out! ;-)

I'm glad you got the joke... I was worried people wouldn't get it. This is a thread about looking and enjoy covers from the past and I post a cover that has been censored so you cannot look at it. :))
Last month at the local indoor flea market I found all 4 issues of this mini series for 50 cents an issue. Being a fan of The Shadow and seeing that Howard Chaykin wrote and drew the series I had to get it.

Another great cover from Howard Chaykin.
Out of the four covers from this mini series this one is my favorite. But then I have rarely seen a bad cover from Howard Chaykin.
