Reminds me of one of the guys from the band Green Day. I'm not sold on Joker's street-thug, gang-banger appearance. Although the bird on his right bicep (a 'Robin' perhaps?) is a nice touch. It may be a perfect fit for the all-new dreary, desaturated DCCU. Admittedly, I've never been much of a Leto fan, though I do enjoy some of his early 30 Seconds to Mars stuff.
Anyone else expecting Will Smith to hog all the spotlight? And should we expect to see Captain Boomerang in the Flash movie? How about the other villains?
The last time I saw they were doing a different take on the Joker, I was blown away. I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt until I see the movie.
I'm still more excited for Suicide Squad than BvS.
My initial reaction is that I hate it, but then I realize that's mainly due to my expectations based on what a teenaged me imagined the Joker should look like in a movie. And movies today aren't being made for a teenaged me. And besides, the teenaged me got Jack Nicholson, which was reasonably close to the Joker I grew up with. So, I get where they're going with it.
I'm just still surprised that when we finally get all the Marvel and DC movies I hoped for as a kid, the tones are the reverse of what I expected. For me, DC is "Superfriends", not doom and gloom. But I guess even the comics haven't been "Superfriends" for a long time.
Count me in as interested and excited. I am still impressed that WB/DC got a big name action director to helm this and they double downed and got some A- B+ movie stars. If the DC universe will be as grim as MOS was and BVS appears to be then this looks right on target. I like it so far. What did we really expect the Suicide Squad on the big screen to look like anyway? Harley looks as good as we could hope for and Katana? Yes! Jai Courtney's pose looks dopey but its a promotional image so go big or go home. I support this film and hope the community gives it a chance before the dissection of particulars drowns out my intial excitement.
This movie has been a big gamble from the start. Could be awesome. Could be shit. I had no faith and little interest or expectations. Was (and am) really disappointed with casting will smith. I was actually getting a tad curious and optimistic recently though... until Now. Personal first impressions are, to be polite, not positive.
Maybe "most color" in that more than one person has color in their scheme, but it is still just shades of red and blue with white and very subtle green. So yea - not buying that claim. Haha.
I don't get the Croc/2nd image comparison. Doesn't look alike at all. Are we supposed to know who that second image is?

In a sea of dreary bleakness, those costumes pop out to me a bit. But my statement was mostly tongue in cheek. As you'd say, "ha ha". ;)

As a father of daughters, I think Harley needs to teach the other ladies on the team how to control their bangs. A brush and some elastics can do wonders...
But, to be serious, they look like the team that would come out of a swamp prison in the current DCCU. Like the image we saw of Joker, it works. It fits.
I'd be more excited if Tom Hardy was still in the movie. But I am still intrigued. I loved Ayer's script for Training Day. I haven't seen End of Watch yet, but I heard it is great. Heck. It's a Suicide Squad movie. Bonkers that such a thing will exist, so I'm game.

But I remain optimistic about this movie.

I think I like the Leto-Joker better...
I hope the movie is very successful, but this'll probably be a Netflix view at our house.

Not necessarily accurate, and I don't know if it's official. I found it on twitter. And missing actor's names.

Love that Harley Quinn has a "Puddin" tat!
Will Smith is playing Boba Fett?

Oh wait...
A joke?
In a DC movie?
What was I thinking?
