It's times like these I miss mwhitt...his Dirty Birds are in the playoffs yet again, and while I'm family-honor-bound to root for the Broncos, I'm hoping that Atlanta will at least get past their first game for a change.

yea, mwhitt80 was/is the best for NFL talk. I still find it hard to root for fellow divisional teams once my team has gone off into the off-season. Al, you are bigger man than I (figuratively speaking, off course)
No I probably have you on actual weight as well. I just like seeing QB's get the monkey off their back and (though I'd never let Whitt know) I think Matty Ice is a pretty good one. I also can't figure out how someone as large as Turner can move that quickly. :)
....and he did it all with an entire team on his back.
Kirby be proud... :x
Packers fans, you will be crying in your cheese-tainted beers on Sunday morning.. Wondering why oh why didn't we put 11 guys in the box for AD?
Vikings beat you in a shoot-out, and they will beat you again.
How'd that work out for you. ;)
well, when you don't have the QB, the team dynamic changes and us Vikings fans have an out in all future debates ;)
At least you won two more games than the Vikings, but now us fans of both teams are in the same area of the losers couch..... Heres hoping the 49ers win it all! Kapernik (sp?) is just fun to watch.
Apparently Colin Kaepernick's signature move has achieved verb status. Personally, I find kissing his biceps a bit cocky and I'm a lifelong Niner fan. But I gotta admit, when this kid reenacts his move, it's downright adorable.
Every time Tom Brady gets planted flat on his ass, an angel gets its wings. :)
Go Ravens!
Man, being a Pats fan is difficult. All the haters come out. It does illustrate the franchise is doing something right during the Belichick era.
M
They're hated because they're good, but unlikeable. Brady's a deadbeat dad, and Billichick is Darth Sidious (complete with hood). How much does your team have to be reviled when people would rather root for the team with a (not convicted) killer on the squad? ;)

Is Brady really a dead-beat dad? I can't argue with the Belichick assessment. There are people in PatsNation that don't like BB because he never really tells you anything. I have no issues with it because I understand less info is the best info.
Trying to be objective about BB, I do see where he takes plays and stretches them to just within the rules of the game. If I coached an opposing team or rooted for an opposing team, I'd hate him too...mostly because I (or my team) didn't think of it first.
And I completely get the hatred toward the franchise. It's one of the few teams that's been at or damn close to the Super Bowl consistently in the past decade. Which is why Sunday stings, but only until the next season schedule comes out :)
The Pats are skating dangerously close to becoming the Buffalo Bills of the late 80s. Always making the dance, but then blowing it. What's saving them is that they did win a few along the way.

Wasn't that actually in the early 90s? Am I wrong for thinking they lost 4yrs in a row to 'Skins, Cowboys (twice), & Giants?

Still, have no problem admitting they got lucky.
EAT IT GOODELL, YOU DAYWALKIN' POS!!!
(Tell us how you really feel, Torchy!) :)
I both love and hate the pressure that's coming this way. This is usually when the Giants thrive.

Bengals @ Texans(W)
Vikings(W) @ Packers
Colts(W) @ Ravens
Seahawks(W) @ Redskins
I am now rooting for the Seahawks all the way.. Wilson will prove all those 1st rounders wrong..

It's really my fault, though. I had a tested game day schedule and I wasn't able to do it. I jinxed my team.
Oh well. Now I can pay attention to teams that I can afford to go see.
