Ant-Man footage has surfaced. It's the kind of con footage that will likely be down by the time you read this, but here's the link just in case it decides to stick around a little longer.

Pretty cool little clip. Great use of his powers and it has me jazzed for an Ant-Man movie.

Yes thanks, Ive been dying to see that. Pretty dang cool. Like basically everything there except Im distracted by how odd the guy seems to walk at the end. The goons seemed pretty calm and uneffected dealing with a guy esentially just magically appearing six feet in frnt of them and attacking. They also had a strong matrix agent vibe. Dug the costume and FX. Shrinking is tricky and one of those things that they can never really pull off that well... like stretching.
I also so badly want to see Antman riding one of Hawkeyes arrows in a feature. Ive imagined that as the moneyshot of Avengers 2 or something. That or Cap picking up/using Thors hammer. Still cant decide if cap doing that would be best as the climax/winning play or as an aside incident for straight laughs?

I just hope in the real movie it's not the complete face mask as it is here. I'm assuming this is just the case for this clip as the haven't cast Ant-Man yet. Whether it be Hank, Scott or anyone else.

As a comic book fan everything about the Ant-Man movie confuses me. Hank Pym is in the movie, but he didn't create Ultron and he might not be ant-man WHAT?

So Paul Rudd was just announced as playing the role of Hank Pym in the movie. Thoughts?

It makes sense. If they are looking for someone to replace RDJ's corkiness as Stark, Rudd could probably do it best.

I think it's great casting.

He reads as smart, and there is something human-scale and relatable about him. He makes a nice contrast to Cap and Thor's larger-than-life stature, which is how Pym works best in the Avengers, I think.

The first Marvel film that's going to get promotion on comedy podcasts. I can see us getting Wright & Rudd on a Comedy Bang Bang or a Doug Loves Movies to plug this when it comes out.

I'm more familiar with Scott Lang's stint as Ant-Man, so I am of no use to you other than to go with @Mr_Cosmic's advice

Essential Ant-Man is an excellent choice... to that, I'd add the first couple of volumes of Essential Avengers to see how Hank operated as part of a team, and get a better overall picture of his problems with size-changing and his self-confidence.

Read Avengers, that's the only place his character is ever explored in any depth. But the truth is that Marvel's never been able to find a take on Hank Pym that really works. Its part of the reason he has so many identities.

Though Marvel is playing coy about which Ant-man he will be playing. That kinda goes with some of the original info about the movie from years ago, that both Hank Pym and Scott Lang would appear.

I think that it's going to be The Irredeemable Ant-Man.

I think they got the name wrong when they said Scott Lang. I think they mean Eric O'Grady. In Irredeemable Ant-Man he stole the Pym particles to become Ant-Man, which they say is a part of this story. And way back when Edgar Wright said that his original idea was for the Irredeemable Ant-Man.

It also makes sense with Paul Rudd being Cast as Ant-Man. I see him playing the jerky O'Grady more than Pym.
