CBR has no credibility and is more interested in page views than content. The bane geeks looking for free geek news. Add BleedingCool and Newsarama to that list, although my problem with Newsarama is the popups...
Occasionally CBR and Newsarama would have quality content. But knowing a few people who write/wrote for them, the stuff I consider quality content doesn’t get nearly as many clicks as the promo releases they get from the publishers and studios. It’s not even close.
Anyone ever play this game that came out in 2015? It's called Cuphead.
Actually, I think it just came out fairly recently after some delays. I haven't even seen it in stores yet. I'm not generally a fan of the run-and-gun games, but this one looks pretty darn cool. No X-Box for me. My son has a Steam account though, so I may have him get it.
Willy Wonka was my favorite movie behind Star Wars when I was a little kid, and Young Frankenstein is probably my favorite movie now—top three at the very least. And most of that boils down to Gene Wilder. I saw Blazing Saddles in the theater as a not-quite-four-year-old (it’s probably the earliest memory I’ve held onto), and I think he must have imprinted on my still developing brain. He was a comedy genius.
Blazing Saddles was, is, and likely always shall be my favorite movie. I can watch it at the drop of a hat, quote from it incessantly, and strongly feel it's a "remake" proof movie. Not that I don't think Hollywood wouldn't try it, but honestly, it could never work in today's climate.
While a lot of that is due to the writing of Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor, and most of the great scenes belong to Harvey Korman and Slim Pickens...the best scene still belongs to Gene. "Lil' bastard shot me in the ass!" :)
I'd say I'm gonna miss him, but his movies will always be around. Always.

Firstly I love Blazing Saddles, one of my favorite movies.
Secondly I agree it is a close to un-remakable as almost any movie. I also still feel the same way about Bad News Bears.
Found out from my son's old elementary school principal that his second grade teacher died the other day. No other information was given. The principal just notified everyone last week that the teacher was sick and wouldn't be returning to teach this year. I write this because of all of his elementary school teachers my son had, I thought she was the best. When I was out of work, I spent several weeks helping out in her class, reading to students and helping them with their work. The kids loved her. I looked forward to my daughter having her in two years. The news just gutted me today and I'm not sure why. We weren't close, but it hurts. Fuck you, cancer. And fuck you, 2016.
As a man that has lived his 35+ years in areas near Florida hurricanes I will say if you'd like to have an amazing few days at Disney fly to Orlando tomorrow. The storm is hitting north FL so the only thing you might encounter is a little rain and the best Disney trip I've ever had is a day after a tropical storm hit central FL. No one was there.

When I lived in Ohio, I would go to the amusement parks (Cedar Point, Kings Island) on the last days of the season around Halloween right before they closed for winter. It got a little chilly, but there were almost no lines. One time I rode every ride at least twice and my favorite ride (The Beast) 10 times.
A Guide to The Guide of Comics is a fantastic review of old Wizard magazines. It might be my favorite thing at CBR
That's gone now. New CBR. New owner. No more blogs.
I emailed CBR and got the answer that Comics Should Be Good is still part of CBR, and was to be "integrated" into the regular feed... but they are now going to give it its own tab...but it might take a little while. It's really the only reason to go there, in my opinion.

Robot 6 was useful as well, and I think they are in the same situation as CSBG.
