I've picked up most of the Elves sets. Fun builds and some really nice unique parts as well. Don't see much life for the series, but it's enjoyable for what it is.
I'm kinda underwhelmed by most of the Age of Ultron sets and might just try and pick up a few of the minifigs separately (or wait for the cheaper Chinese bootlegs, honestly), but if I cave on any of them, it will be that Hulkbuster set.
I ordered the Hulkbuster set because I like building the mechs and hey, Scarlet Witch minifig. Doubt I'll get any of the other Ultron sets because I've never been a big Quicksilver fan (or Vision for that matter) and this set comes with an evil Ultron, so that ought to suit my needs.
Broke tradition and ordered the new Star Wars Cantina set. Wife questioned it at first but looking at it it's really the perfect set. She's going to build me a Bea Arthur minifig to put behind the bar. :)
The fine (if legally & morally questionable) folks at Sheng Yuan made a Stargirl (though packaged with a Captain America assortment), so I felt that if I owned her then I obviously needed to own a Jack Knight version of Starman, so I cobbled one together and I have to say that I'm pretty happy with how he came out:
Now all I need is some goggles that will fit around the pompadour hairpiece! BrickForge makes ones that just might work.
Anyone in the Charlotte, N.C., area, there's a BrickMagic event this coming weekend in Concord. I'll be there selling BrickJournal magazines if anyone wants to stop and say hi.
Big Bang Theory set #21302 is rumored to be released in August, and will cost $60. It will have seven mini-figures (pictures of some of them in both links). EW article here too. The full set will be shown/announced later today.
Karen Keller, a kindergarten teacher at Captain Johnston Blakely Elementary in Bainbridge Island, Washington, refuses to let the boys in her class play with Legos during free play time. Only the girls are allowed, while she lies to the boys in class.
Lego enthusiast Jeremy Moody has defined his dedication to Legos by producing a huge chart that features all the different colors that Lego has ever produced. It was a whole year-long labor of love.
Coming this spring: a big-ass Batman TV show Batcave/Wayne Manor set, complete with Batman, Bruce Wayne, Robin, Dick Grayson, Alfred, Catwoman, Joker, Penguin, and Riddler minifigs, plus the Batmobile, Batcycle, and Batcopter. The photos are being taken down by Lego, but I saw pics of the front and back of the box, and it looks to be a fantastic set. Given what's in it, though, I'm betting it's going to have a $200+ price tag. It appears there will also be a Mr. Freeze minifig to be sold/given away separately as a promotional item of some kind.
$270 for the set (Adam West Batcave). Releases March 1st.
To be honest I'm surprised they put it out that cheap. I won't be buying it opening day, but it's going to find its way to our shelves at some point, I guarantee. :)

I was expecting about $250 given the number of vehicles and minifigs involved. You know, I would have preferred a small series of sets rather than one humongous set, like they did with Scooby Doo. Make the Batcycle and Batcopter separate sets, hold back a few of the villains for other sets, and get the Batcave down to $200. I don't know if I'll be able to swing $270.

Legos are for girls-only, and kindergarten boys can play with them "when Hell freezes over." So sad, so dumb.
Liked how the first two day tied together nicely.
No piece-count on the front of the box, which makes me wonder if this is a fake leak or not, but sources I trust seem to believe this is legit.

It's also WAAY out of my Lego budget.
