I like the mask bit. Look, Michael Bay has not earned much goodwill from me for Transformers. But I think my son is going to like this and I am interested. I know they are messing with the mythology but 99.9% of comic films do. I am amazed that Meagan Fox is doing another Michael Bay film and getting a plum role.
This movie and Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be one of the most interesting box-office battles in awhile. I will probably see both but curious to see how the non-comic folks will choose.
This movie looks like utter horsesh*t. There should be a law, that if you go see this, you HAVE to go see all of the crappy sequels to follow, as punishment for supporting it.
And, before you ask, I couldn't care less about the turtles. I am judging this purely objectively.
I won't bad mouth the movie since I only saw a trailer, but unless 1/2 the movie has a naked Megan Fox was Eleanor from 'Gone in 60 seconds' I'm going to have to pass on this take of the characters.

You're probably right. It may just be so uber-pompous, that it feels like parody.
Having zero emotional investment in TMNT, I found the trailer amusing.
It seemed like a nice tweak at the pomposity of the Dark Knight trilogy.

Not sure if you bought the Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Edition, but apparently, Nolan filmed an alternate scene where Blake confronts Bruce in TDKR. With the backlash from Spider-man 3, and the definite different tone the scene would've set, I see why Nolan didn't use it.
Here is fan art (1) compared to what is seen in the trailer (2) concerning the look of the turtle's face. Maybe a little less hostility to the film if Bay would make this little change. A long shot so I'm not holding my breath.

1) I'm not the person Michael Bay is making movies for. All his movies look like cookie-cutter garbage to me.
2) Megan Fox can't seem to keep her mouth shut at all in this trailer.
3) I'm not going to see this movie.

I saw the preview, thought, eh, okay, fine. I then asked a friend if he had seen it, and he said no, so I showed it to him.
His response?
"Their heads are vaguely penile in a disturbing way."
Now, I can't watch this without seeing that.

Changing the noses would be a definite plus, but not quite enough to get me to care... yawn. It's still Michael Bay, after all.
