Looks fine to me. I got excited by the glimpse of archangel. Jury's still out on how well apocalypse will come across but I dug his voice. Assuming that was his voice over. Nightcrawler looked ok. I'm sure it'll be entertaining and enjoyable more than not... like the others. Not seeing anything giving reason to think it'll be any better or worse than the previous movies.
I think I'm in the minority here. I liked the trailer. My only issue with it (and admittedly, it's a big one) ... is I still think Apocalypse looks absolutely stupid. The "Ivan Ooze" comparisons are dead on imo.
I can make the obvious comment about how I'd like to see Jennifer Lawrence, but I'll pass. I will comment how peculiar it is all of her scenes (at least the ones I caught) she's in a Caucasian appearance. Wonder if that's to prevent her from being recognized following DofP, her shunning the "mutant and proud" mantra...or JLaw's current celebrity status & not wanting the smurf treatment again.

During press for DoFP she was talking about how she was getting tired of the make-up.

It's because she's one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood. She's not in blue skin for the same reason Downey Jr. doesn't stay in the suit for more than 2 seconds at a time, or why Stallone didn't wear in a helmet in Judge Dredd.
A wee bit too much 'Scorpion King' meets '2012' for my tastes, but I do enjoy seeing Quicksilver and Psylocke on-screen. I won't skip it, but like 'Days of Future Past' I'll probably wait for the home video release.
This might be the first X-Men film I actually go out of my way to catch in the theatre. Pretty sure I saw the "original" in the theatre (but I can't remember), and I did enjoy the most recent two much more than expected, so I'll give this the benefit of the doubt.
Has Mystique ever actually led the X-Men at any point in the comics? Obviously "J-Law" is the driving force as to why the character has such a big role in this movie. I'm not a huge X-Man reader but I've always thought of her as being a villain.
This looks pretty good to me. However, I'm so done with mystique in xmen movies. And I'm tired of this actress playing her. It's past time for new different characters if not a full restart.

I don't know... I think Days of Future Past left to door open nicely for a "restart" to the X-Men movie franchise. It would allow the studio to pick-n-choose what worked from the past movies, and cleanly sweep the rest of the dreck under the rug (...and that is going to have to be a BIG rug). As a "reboot" without actually being a reboot, I thought it was a brilliant move. Age of Apocalypse will be the proof in the pudding if their relaunch works or not.
No lie: I've found something to enjoy about EVERY X-Movie. Even Last Stand. Even Wolverine:Origins.
I honestly just take each movie at face value and enjoy them for what they are. It's only a competition in the eyes of the bigwigs counting the money that I'll never see at the studios. Their jobs depend on such things. Mine doesn't. I don't really have a dog in that fight, and don't care to.
And I absolutely enjoyed BvS. Can't wait for the DVD.
I'm surprised no one's commented on the movie yet. Just got back. I found it solid, certainly better than some of the negative press it was getting. A bit too packed with characters, but the X-Men comics are often like that. 7.5/10.

Once you see the movie, I think you'll agree the actress playing her also seems tired of her playing Mystique and I think she's in the character makeup less than 10% of the time she's on screen.

And I think both 1st Class and Days where both really good X-Men movies so I'm expecting this one to be good to.

Obviously, fans should see it and decide for themselves.
