I'm curious how much this will echo Captain America: First Avenger. I'm hoping it won't, but still curious about it.
Until there's more movement on the MoS sequel, this is the only DCEU movie I have any interest in seeing. The bits with Gadot in BvS:DOJ were interesting & I'm looking forward to seeing if she can carry a movie like this.
It looks like there may be some sunny weather in this film! That or they haven't turned on the dark filter yet. Why couldn't the other DC movies look like this?
I understand the issue. I understand the complaints about whitewashing in movies like Ghost in the Shell, but ultimately, studios want to make money, not cater to a few. My ONLY interest in Ghost in the Machine is Scarlett Johansson. If Diana had hairy pits, I'm skipping the movie. It'd be too much a distraction for me. I'm one in billions of potential viewers, but I'm betting I'm not alone.

Unless the picture I had seen was PhotoShopped (to remove the hair), that one posted by bralinator is the one that is PhotoShopped.

His was the photoshop. No way they're doing that in the final cut.

And of course there's always going to be discouraging responses as well. But I try not to let those kinds of folk pre-determine my enjoyment of a film.

The Twitter stuff reminds me of why I'm off Twitter. The Mary Sue article seems to merge 2 points into one article. By the end, I thought it read weirdly.
Did Iron Man, Ant-Man, GotG, or The Incredible Hulk get "summer blockbuster" level marketing initially? I can't recall. I don't think they did. Each of those were a gamble the first round. Wonder Woman is a top tier character, but I'd say after Catwoman & Elektra movies, even this has a level of being a gamble. Especially after MoS, BvS:DOJ, & Suicide Squad. It's easy to see why companies might have reservation (& WB/DC fearing oversaturation like the last 2 movies).

Anyway, probably time to start the hype for this film. Here's the trailer that was released today:

I presume it's mostly feminists and "beta-males" Twitter-raging over Gal Gadot's shaving habits.
