Side bar: I read tweets, posts, & buzz that MCU "copied" the movie idea of hero v. hero after BvS was announced. Conversely, isn't the marketing of Suicide Squad in the vein of GotG? Is it a coincidence DC's star-spangled garbed character is set in the past; specifically during a world war?!
M
Why perpetuate the Marvel vs DC / Marvel/DC copied DC/Marvel line?
Who benefits?
Who doesn't like being proven accurate?!

It's the perfect perpetual motion machine. Circular and unstoppable.
THE LAST CHARACTER TO APPEAR IN THIS TRAILER!!!

What is it this time? Misogyny? Racism? Trump supporters? Bernie or Bust? BLM? Frustrated Ghostbusters man-bros? Hard to say.
If you click the link above you'll see some dumb stuff to be sure, but apparently it stems from Gadot’s mandatory military service, where she spent two years in the Israeli Defense Force. Mandatory for ALL able-bodied Israeli citizens. Gadot has been very supportive of the Israeli military since her service and has been criticized frequently for it. Now with her breaking out in a major film starring a world renowned feminine hero, the attacks have only ramped up.
Apparently if you ever fought against Palestenians, and you don't denounce your native homeland, then you're evil and your movies should all be boycotted and you generally suck at life.
What is plan B?
Do we keep it traditional and white wash this with an American white woman?
Do we go uber progressive with casting a man in the role AND keep Chris Pine as Steve Trevor?
Is Lynda Carter available? Cathy Lee Crosby?
If progressive is out, how to we keep something so bland to not offend anyone but exciting enough to make hundreds of millions of dollars?
Making movies is hard work.
Yeah...they figgered it out... :)
