The U.S. showings of Doctor Who 3D have been announced. Only 11 theaters will be simulcasting it live. Then on Monday the 25th an encore presentation will be shown. 300 Theaters will show the encore presentation. What a crock!
Ah! I live just a short bus ride from the likeliest Cinemark to be showing it here, and I have a prepaid card! I'll have to check that out and see if I can swing it!
I haven't had the opportunity just yet but I purchased "Enemy of the World" on iTunes. I can't wait to check this gem out. I've heard an audio version of this and really liked the story a lot.
Quest complete. I've now finally watched every last Doctor Who ep ever made - including all of the 'lost' eps that audio and still images still exist for, so I've heard them and seen a sort of slideshow/reconstruction of those eps. So until they announce that they've discovered some more lost eps in Timbuktu, I'm now up to date ready for the 50th anniversary. Maybe I'll take a break before starting on the Big Finish audio series... :P

Plus it's in 3D!!! 3D is cool!
This is one of the few instances that I wholly support seeing something in 3D over 2d if at all possible.
Just got into a debate at work about who's a better Doctor, Matt Smith or David Tennant... which is hilarious because 4 months ago no one cared one iota about Doctor Who and now everyone has an opinion.
They've just updated their guest list for the weekend. At a quick glance, it appears to me that all of the living actors who played companions for the first eight Doctors will be there. Am I correct? Guest list.
I hope that's not the case. I was worried that the price of signing a more prominent actor might be only keeping them for a brief time, but since Capaldi has done lengthy runs on shows in the past, I was thinking he would do the same here. Regardless of how impressive the actor may be, I don't think rapid turnovers in the lead serve the show well. I think if a year from now we're going through all that "Who will be the next Doctor?" hype again, the public's patience may wear thin.
Neil Gaiman has been confirmed as the final author in the 50th Anniversary eBook series. The story will be titled, "Nothing O'Clock". For more details, click here.

For months I've been seeing predictions that it was going to be J.K. Rowling, but I suspected that was unlikely.
Personally, I'm happier with Gaiman, anyway.
The quality's been all over the place on those things, but they've all at least been quick, enjoyable reads. I didn't even mind the one for the First Doctor, which is the one everyone seems to hate. The biggest complaint I could make was that the Fifth Doctor story barely featured him, shifting the focus on to a story that was just so-so.
'Nothing O'Clock stars the Eleventh Doctor, the Matt Smith Doctor, with Amy Pond as his companion. I set it somewhere during the first season of Matt Smith, mostly on Earth, in our time now and in 1984, but also somewhere else, a very, very long time ago. I had never created an original monster for Doctor Who and really enjoyed getting to create a creepy Doctor Who monster of the kind that we haven't quite seen before… I hope that the Kin will get out there and occasionally give people nightmares. And that you will be worried if a man in a rabbit mask comes to your door and tries to buy your house'

Edit: It looks like the BBC noticed it, for it is currently being featured on the Official Doctor Who Tumblr. page.
Enjoy!
