I just watched "Touching the Void", a doc/reenactment about a treacherous mountain climb that was just completely engrossing. Not 100% sure its streaming yet but I know it will be, since I was watching it in a work capacity.
I've been wanting to see Sound City for a while now, but I hadn't heard about the Big Star doc. I'll have to add that to the list. Big Star was a big influence on the band I played in back in the early ’90s.
Room 237 the documentary that explores the numerous theories about the hidden meanings within Stanley Kubrick's film The Shining, now streaming on Netflix
I have been getting into the ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentaries recently. Even if it is about sports that really do not interest me, I find that these are made in such a way that it still kinda intrigues me. Secondly, I have been watching ‘New Girl’…I thought I would not appreciate it, but it is rather cute.
Birth of the Living Dead, the documentary on George Romero and the making of my all time favorite horror film Night of the Living Dead just became available on Netflix Streaming.
Just added this to the queue, but haven't watched it yet. I saw where Steve Perry just made an impromptu onstage appearance with the Eels, and it reminded me to check if this was streaming yet. It is...

This was good stuff. The mrs. and I really enjoyed it.
Same thing at my house. My wife was disinclined at first, but within about 10 minutes into it she really began to enjoy it and was glad I had picked it.

There is an astonishing and appalling dearth of WWII films available for streaming on Netflix.
They aren't totally bereft of WWII films available for streaming on Netflix. There's "The Rape of Europa", Kelly's Heroes", "Force Ten from Navarone", "The Train", and an absolute cornucopia of great, GREAT documentaries on there: http://www.netflix.com/WiAltGenre?agid=4006

Force Ten? Sweet! Didn't spot that one. Rather see the original Guns Of.
Docs are fine, But I want the movies that were on every weekend when I was little.
I watched the documentary “Birth of the Living Dead” about Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. It was a good “talking head” documentary, and while I wished they would have had more interviews with the people involved, many of them are no longer with us. As I am a big fan of Romero’s movies, there wasn’t much I didn’t already know, and I REALLY wish they would have touched on the continuations of the movies by both Romero and Russo, it was well made and informative. Nice little documentary!
