I'm not at a place that I can link to comiXology, but there is a sale happening today on Gambit, your favorite Cajun mutant. You know how to get there.
ComiXology is now dead to me. They now force Swiss customers to re-register via France and all prices are now in Euro. I wrote them to suck my balls. They've lost a $250 a month-customer. I then ordered a dozen trades from Amazon for less and some books from Dark Horse for even lesser. Fuck comiXology. >:)
Super sorry about this, Werner. We actually were losing money by having you pay in USD up until this point. Although you're still able to browse our site in English, unfortunately, Euros are the new currency we require in your location.
I really wish it didn't negatively affect you like this and we are extremely thankful for both your business and you telling others about our service. Thanks in advance for understanding.
A bit sad for all those indie creators I've supported.
And already dozens of other Swiss, German and Austrian customers are leaving comiXology. They made a bad business decision. As long as there are other ways to get good comics who needs comiXology....
I do lots of kickstarting. I also contact creators and/or small press directly to exchange money for books. It just takes more patience. The last couple of months I was heavy into digital. Not anymore. Now I'm going all old school. :D
Collecting issues #28-#49 and the first king-sized annual from the Marvel Comics Star Wars series that launched in 1977 (the same year as the first film), this second volume of Star Wars Omnibus: A Long Time Ago.… is a must-have for any Star Wars fan!
• Contains the six-issue adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back!
CREATORS Writers: Archie Goodwin, Chris Claremont Artists: Al Williamson, Michael Golden, Terry Austin, Walter Simonson, and others
Dang-it! Missed that Fraction sale. Would have loved to get Hawkeye 6-11! And I get email alerts too.
I try! I put it in the front of the thread title! If you have patience, there will be another sale. I don't think their newsletter/sales alerts are very handy. Their often too busy with stuff I'm not interested in.

I know you do. I greatly appreciated it. Thanks! I love this thread. I always try to check. Their email came on Saturday and the sale was done on Sunday. I guess being a popular title I guess they want to keep it a flash sale.
I got the first five issues this summer and I figured they would do another one. I'll keep my eyes 8-| open.
I like the Dark Horse app for the most part. Not as seamless at the Comixology app but still pretty good. It'd be nicer to have everything in one spot, but I think DH is able to do their bundles (which are extensive and really great) because they don't have to deal with comixology. Plus Dynamite deals with both (though the current deal is only available on Comixology), so maybe we'll see DH turn into a competitive marketplace to Comixology and competition is good.
Maybe with their Star Wars license coming to an end, the sales they would gain from Comixology's large customer base will become more attractive. I just hate having to use two apps, especially when one is inferior.
I like Dark Horse's app too, for the most part. It can get a little clunky when trying to find issues that you are missing (especially when you buy a month late).
But they drop new books to $1.99 after one month, and their bundles, as mentioned above, are a pretty nice deal.

I'd like to hear about people's thoughts on Skullkickers. It looks fun, but I'm not sure? Thanks!

Just kidding. That really sucks. Sorry to hear it. Kickstarter may be another way to help those indie creators.
