A teaser for a behind the scenes documentary of the Iron Giant by director Anthony Giacchino which highlights some of the fun that was had, even as the production proved exhausting.
I can see some exec at Lionsgate thinking making a movie featuring popular Youtube video cats would be a mega-hit, and then another savvy executive says "You know who'd be perfect as the lead? Christopher Walken."
There’s are times when you create something so crazy, so sophomoric and boundary-pushing and perverse, that everyone except for some visionary studio thinks its a terrible idea. The critics say its probably the end of comedy as we know it, other people say no one but its creators has ANY interest in this and why did they make this self-indulgent nonsense, but it ends up being the right unexpected movie at the right time and is later hailed as groundbreaking.
This is not one of those times.
'Sausage Party' has a small, $19 million production budget and probably another $20 million marketing. So it doesn't have to earn very much to be profitable. Still, the question remains, can the studio get adults to go to a theater and pay cash money to watch CGI food talking dirty in an R-rated cartoon?
A fan is making a cgi film on Warhammer 40K titled Lord Inquisitior. The movie doesn't release until next year but they dropped a the first eight or so minutes today for people to check out.
This risk-taker’s YouTube page features a bevy of additional jumps if you’re the rare breed of adrenaline junkie who’s excited by watching incredible feats of insanity. I personally suggest the Laguna Beach Beam Jump.

I'm old... My idea of risk-taking is eating a big bowl of oat bran before bed, knowing I have a 4-hour drive the next morning.
That was fun. I'd like to see Disney go this direction instead of continuing to prop-up a 75-year old Harrison Ford or even recasting the part. This would surely be better than their Guardians of the Galaxy 'toon. They could just do a 13 episode sample of this, and then find a younger actor for the next installment (as the James Bond franchise does).
Today is International Podcasting Day, an event that began two years ago. According to the website, its mission is to “help spread the word! IPD is devoted to promoting Podcasting worldwide through education and public engagement.” You can follow the festivities all day using this hashtag: #podcastday

Take a look at the concept art on this project. Nice.

Not interested in the film, but it's a mildly amusing video.

Hopefully the CGS team is aware, since they've got such a top-shelf and long-running podcast.
