I have a good feeling about season 2. With all of the introductions out of the way and a new status quo for S.H.I.E.L.D. in general, I'm excited to see where the show goes.
I like the idea of having Agent Carter fill in the gap between the first and second half of season 2. I kind of wish other shows would do that as well.

I wonder if they will try to make any connection with what is occurring in AoS' season or keep it separate. Regardless, I'm looking forward to Agent Carter.

I bet there will be a connection.
Something the Agents deal with will make more sense once we learn about what happened in the past, or some threat Agent Carter deals with will resurface in AOS.
I know it's been said before, but it seemed like a lot of last season, in hindsight at least, was a stall to tie in to The Winter Soldier. It was a good tie in, and it was worth it in the long run, but it was a little painful getting there.
Hopefully the show can stand alone a little better this season. Tie in when appropriate, but make sure they're doing interesting things each episode that make sense.
I think pushing the show back to 9/8c is going to help it out greatly.
Just curious what is the reasoning behind that?
If it's not a sport I rarely watch anything live, even if it is sports I usually start it about 30-45 minutes after the start so I don't have commercials.

I think what I'm hoping for besides seeing Agent Carter kicking some butt is the formation of S.H.I.E.L.D as well as the beginning infiltration of HYDRA. I think that would be pretty cool.

I'm more hoping if there's a connection, its AC starting threads for AoS & nothing that requires me to watch AoS. I'm still just not interested in the show.

@Matt What I'm thinking is that this will have more to do with the movies than the show. What I'm hoping for is for this to start off just after the events in Captain America: The First Avenger.

I wonder if they'll expand the Agent Carter short into an episode.

I hope not, but just because I'd like the 8 episodes to be new stuff. To some extent, I think Agent Carter is more of a strong female character then Black Widow. I did like how she proved superior to her coworkers in the short.
MArvel Entertainment just announced that "Teen Wolf" actor Brian Patrick Wade has joined the cast of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Carl "Crusher" Creel, AKA Absorbing Man!
So here is the newest Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. teaser for season 2, picking up after the final third of the first season and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" where Nick Fury charges Coulson with rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D.
This is great. The (2nd) biggest problem I had with First Avenger was the lack of development for the Howling Commandos. This looks set to remedy that!

Yup, actually have characters not created for a TV series!

Noble idea, eh? I have to say that I'm already more pumped for this than I ever was for AoS
I like that it's a limited run season. It is presumable that, like with TNT, USA, & FX, the episodes will all have weight and not a couple of fillers. Also, seeing the origins of SHIELD is interesting to me; specifically if you can follow where HYDRA was slowly becoming intertwined into the organization.
Plus, I am a sucker for strong female leading characters. Since I really started to get into Buffy, I have always liked the idea of women being on equal (or superior in some instances) ground.

The Agent Carter series running in the middle of the season will stretch things out to synch up less awkwardly than season one.
