Give me one of them, Moon Knight, Black Panther and some other street level characters
How is Black Panther a street-level character? He's a sovereign king!
He's a gadget hero. Basically, street level the way that Batman is street level.
That sounds like some type of "-ist." The FF uses gadgets.
And I've always included Spider-man more street level. To me, 'street level' heroes are the ones handling routine patrols & stopping common crimes, not just super villains.

Black Panther did have a run where he was doing the street-level thing though. Took a sabbatical from his kingdom to become a teacher in Harlem.
True. But, as you said, that was a story about him separating from his usual setting. If they wanted to make a series like that, it could work for 'TV' (well, Netflix). But to really do a live action Black Panther series that involves Wakanda, you would probably need a film budget. (Unless you want Wakanda to look like something out of a Stargate TV show).
Totally agree, BP deserves cinematic treatment, but the precedent is there if they wanted to go that route. Personally the only street level character I think I'd like to see on the Netflix shows (or in his own) is Moonknight.

Yeah, but that was more a storyline then who the character is. Hulk got rocketed into space & fought on another planet. I would not consider him a space hero.

Perhaps the Winter Soldier movie will introduce T'Challa? After all, he designed and created the wings for the Falcon, didn't he? Sam Wilson (The Falcon) has had two distinctly different comic book origins: one in the 616 universe, in which he was a pimp and gangbanger whose entire history was rewritten by the powers of the Cosmic Cube, and one in the Ultimate universe in which he was a scientist and Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. I'm betting the origin Marvel will go with in the film will be the Ultimate origin, though they will probably follow some of the 616 version's friendship with Cap.
“You can’t deny that there will be binge-viewing. You know that there are going to be some Marvel fans that when this show premieres, they are going to go on to Netflix, and they are going to sit there for 12 to 13-plus hours, and watch the entire thing all the way through. It’s going to happen. The Netflix model offers us the advantage of being able to construct the show in a manner that is very different than a weekly network TV show… With weekly TV, you sit there and go, “The audience may not want to wait two or three weeks to get this particular bit of information.” Whereas with Netflix, we might be able to hold onto a particular piece of information, because they may just watch it two hours later.”
Ditto. I subscribe to Netflix. I'll at least catch the first episode of DD when it arrives and probably see Sinister Six when finally it gets to Netflix, no matter who directs. :)
He has the physical presence when I look at him so I am on board for that. But I have seen him so many times on Law & Order:CI that Goren is really stuck in my head. He also proved difficult on the set on that show. He decided he couldn't do 22 episodes and that took money out of Kathyrn Erbe's pocket and she was pissed. But this being a limited series that hopefully will not be an issue if he's not on every episode. So when I saw WetRats "Ugh" those thoughts JUST popped in my head.
Let's hope on the first day of shooting we don't hear "You know what? I think the Kingpin will be more menacing with hair."
That being said he's 6'3" and they can put lifts in his shoes to make him even taller and Charlie Cox is 5'10" so he should be imposing. Other than that I am on board.

So - probably no T'Challa there either :(
Marvel Says Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ Planned As ‘One Large Movie’
Is it too late to add Moon Knight?
Bad week for the MCU.
FYI: British actor Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire; Stardust) is said to have been cast as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

Here he is in a brief scene from HBO's Boardwalk Empire:

Also, I hope this casting does get confirmed. Cox is excellent in Boardwalk Empire.
