Such a good episode this week! Ramping up to the season finale. I'm going to go back and watch it all again over the summer. I believe I saw that it also finally topped Agents of SHIELD in the ratings. Deservedly so. This has really become a family event in our household.
I'm very intrigued to see how this first season ends and what they plan on doing for season 2. I'm very excited for this show and I'm always looking forward to the next episode.
Would Eobard's whole scheme come to nothing if Eddie doesn't survive the season? I've had the suspicion that Eddie may sacrifice himself to save Iris and the future.

I said the same thing to my wife last week. I don't think Eddie will make it out of this season. And even knowing that he is somehow related to Eobard, that makes me sad.
Seeing how my non-comic reading wife raised a skeptical eyebrow about a telepathic super-intelligent ape this lets me know that the CW and DC are right on track.
As sort of a tangent to the Flash discussion, I'm REALLY growing to enjoy Joe West as one of my favorite characters. The men in CW shows are really branching out emotionally (including Captain Lance in Arrow) but Joe cries, screams, is fearful...but most importantly, a SUPER loving and devoted father. I'm just saying, last nights episode sort of showcased it. To Joe screaming for help from Cisco. To him begging Barry to get him out of there. To crying a little while talking to Iris towards the end of the episode. And in a previous episode where we saw him sitting by Barry's side while he was in a coma. He's SUPER emotional and it ISN'T cheesy. I think that's a pretty great achievement.
That would be amazing if Eddie sacrificed himself and you get that moment of Eobard Wells going "Oh sh-" as he disappears from existence.
It would conceivably allow the real Harrison Wells to return to existence and be a part of the show going forward, but I doubt they'd dispense with one of the Flash's arch-nemeses in the first season. I also can't see them bringing back Barry's mom and erasing his entire history with the West family. Plus there has also been a lot of hints that the reverse Flash and Flah have battled many times, so I'm going to say he is killed at the end of the season, this being the end of his story, but that past versions of him will stil plague Barry over the course of the show.
This is my favorite show on TV right now. It's the one I look forward to... and I'm especially glad my son loves it, too. So it's our "thing" every week.
Have the feeling Eddie will be involved in saving the reverse flash in some way. Just expect that he's turned since his time spent with his future relative.

Nice little nod to Green Lantern at the Ferris hangar, too.
I'm still expecting a trick of some sort.
2) The dude from Prison Break *is* Snart. He's absolutely the perfect nemesis for Barry, and I'm hoping Season 2 gives us a Rogues story or two.
3) That final battle was amazing. Like a few others on here I figured they were saving that one for the last episode but I'll take this.
