    Descender #1 and 2
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #4 - I would have bought this book forever if entire rest of the book was blank pages after page three. What a total missed opportunity for potentially the best joke ever in comic books.

What do you guys do first when you get your books?

    Read and bag them?
    Organize them?
Wonder how you missed ordering a particular an issue?
    Enter the books into ComicBookDB?
Enter your "free" Marvel digital codes into the "redeem" box at https://marvel.com/redeem/ ?

I stack them in a somewhat preferred reading order. Then, as I read them I bag them. I use to review the art work by flipping through the comic from the last page to the from page. Now I tend avoid as many spoilers as possible.
Intend to not enter codes until some later time. I feel like I am devalueing or destroying the book by pulling off the code sticker. I hear comics will be worth something some day...

    Mine goes something like this.

#1 I check my order to make sure I have them all.
#2 I enter them into my collection at ComicBookDB.com
#3 I put them in stacks of a reading order, making sure they are all properly bagged.
#4 For the Marvel issues. I go ahead and enter the digital codes and box the books. Once I have a set/arc, I decide if I want to ebay them (keeping the digital codes). Stopped worrying about value of the codes when they started expiring on me...
#5 I continue to get behind in my reading.

I realize the value of the code and the tiny black and read paper I lift to read the code are meaningless. However, years of collecting have made this spoiling of a perfect (or NM) comic a difficult thing to do. I know it means nothing, yet it bothers me.

Understandable. I'm over it. I bag and board the books, and I do just peel the cover of the sticker back just a little bit... :)

Mine's simple. I crack open my order, tell myself I'm going to read everything I just received in the next couple of days, then get distracted by the growing number of back issues and trades I buy every time I go out.

Must. Stop. Reading. Dazzler. And. Catch. Up. On. Sinestro. @-)

    It was a fun FCBD.

I picked up the Simpsons, Savage Dragon Legacy (I haven't read SD in years), Sonic/Mega Man, Attack on Titan (I want to see what the buzz is all about), Convergence, Avengers, and Secret Wars #0.

I used to do that but the partially lifted sticker annoyed me. Man, collectors have issues.

I made out like a bandit.

I made a casual stop into a comic shop on my way to a get-together with some friends (to go to the Avengers movie later that evening) and discovered that they had set up tables of boxes of comics that they were giving away FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!

My collector's brain just blew up.

I could only walk away with an armful, but I did manage to get a nearly complete set of Infinity Inc, including the annuals. Plus all of this year's premiums.

(The boxes of comics, I should add, were all donated by local fans who were clearing out their personal collections and thought this might be helpful for the FBCD event. Kudos to them and to the store's owners for this. Bless them all! For the record, this is The Dreaming, located in Seattle's University District.)

Read Secret Wars last. If you read it first, the other will seem inferior (and yes, I love Saga).

I actually went Thor, Saga, Secret Wars. The right order I think.

All three were great. Best weeks worth of comics in a while.

Good way to close out Thor with the reveal.
I thought the last page of Saga was stunning.
Secret Wars... Wow. Role on #3!

How was A-Force? I've been digging G. Willow Wilson on Ms. Marvel and I do love me some Dazzler, so this might be something I have to check out.

Swung by my local Costco (Costco!?) to buy some groceries and a 55 gallon of mayo (it's the smallest they got!), saw and picked up DK's Marvel and DC Encyclopedias Updated and Expanded for $25 each. I feel a Muddle the Murd may be coming.
