From 1973, a favorite Joe Kubert cover of mine. R.I.P.
And another favorite of mine, from 1969...
And, back on the random track...
Yesterday's random 1973 cover of the day was by Jack Sparling (pencils/inks)
And today's cover is by Gil Kane & Frank Giacoia. I bought this one off the stands in 1973 and read it until it was a rag...
Joe Kubert does a great war/horror cover.
Always loved the Creature Commandos. And this cover by Mr Kubert is stunning.
I have loved The Unknown Soldier since discovering him in the early 80s. And it was the Joe Kubert covers that drew me to this series.
Great crossover with Sgt Rock,The Losers,The Haunted Tank and The Unknown Soldier. All great war titles that Joe Kubert worked on at one time.
More Unknown Soldier by Joe Kubert.
The look in Sgt Rock's eyes on this cover still sends chills up my back.
Another great cover where Joe Kubert combines War and Horror themes.
Joe Kubert doing another great war comic cover.

Joe Kubert did a great Jonah Hex.
Tarzan+John Carter of Mars+Joe Kubert=5 star cover
Is it just me or is the lil kid on this cover creepier than the hooded figure? Joe Kubert did great horror covers.
