This one's by Nick Cardy (pencils/inks), one of my favorite DC cover artists. I don't remember this one from 1973 at all, but I'm pretty sure the cover alone would have scared the crap out of me.
Back to Kubert but staying on the horror theme, this is another book I had as a kid, and it's still one of my all-time favorite Kubert covers. I was very happy to see DC is doing a Weird War Showcase collection.
Jordi Bernet, just recently got this trade and so far it has been great. Starts off with a story written by Alan Moore, then a Torpedo story drawn by Jordi Bernet,a story by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. And I just got to the Jack Cole classic "Murder,Morphine and Me!". And I am only maybe 1/8th of the way through the trade.

I'm so glad I got to meet him this summer.
My favorite artist among all of my favorite artists: Mr Carmine Infantino. King of the cover artists. Inked by Murphy Anderson.
@Chuck_Melville What a crazy fun cover! Although -- note to Robin -- I'm not sure bashing the elephant in the head will calm him down. ;)
This is probably my favorite -- arguably my favorite cover of all time. (And, yeah, I know it's a re-creation...)
Guess it won't be a surprise to anyone who follows this thread that it's from 1973. ;)
HUGE elephant crashing out of the jungle carrying a tiny little knife.
Beater says to Bwana, "Look out sir, this one's got a knife!"
Been reading the ERB Tarzan novels. Which made me dig out some of the Tarzan comics I own. Saw this cover and knew it was drawn by Joe Kubert.
Another great Kubert Tarzan cover.

@dubbat138 That was an awesome selection. I dug them all!
From 1973, by Nick Cardy -- I loved all these 100-pagers when I was a kid! And I couldn't resist anything with the Royal Flush Gang...
