That felt very much like a pilot episode ... which was probably the point.
I find Bill endearing and annoying at the same time. Nardole is the tin dog. The Doctor's office is very cool. LOTS of Easter eggs for long time Who fans. Which is nice considering that lack of a story.
Hmmm. I'm surprised that they cast an actress that looks so ... "normal". I was expecting someone in the Tilda Swinton mold. I wonder if they're going for a female Tennant?
Lily Travers will play classic Doctor Who companion Polly in this year's Christmas special and Anneke Wills, the actress who originally played Polly, has nothing but praise for her.
Post deleted (sorry, glitch). A bunch of old posts that originally didn't process properly decided to go through multiple times at a much later date. Weird.

I was helping my folks install a fence the other day and while digging out dirt with a pickax I managed to aggravate an arm injury. As a result, I haven't been sleeping well, and when I can't sleep I often muck about in Photoshop to pass the time. My latest Photoshop shenanigans are both Doctor Who-themed:
I noticed that my pumpkin was featured on the BBC's official Doctor Who tumblr page. The image the BBC posted is the same pumpkin, but illuminated with candle light.
The image I posted above is a photo I took when the pumpkin was illuminated via LEDs. Candle light worked fine, but it couldn't compete with my porch light. I quickly discovered that if my porch light was off kids wouldn't come to my door. The brighter LEDs allowed the carving to be discernible even with the porch light on.
I’m not completely sure about the new look yet, but I kind of like it. It’s a definite separation from past looks, which is good. It's more modern looking, which could be a downside down the road, but I envision a ton of cosplayers going with this. Most importantly though, the outfit says, “I'm a fun doctor,” indicating they may be going back to more of a Tennant/Smith tone to the series—you know, back when it was at its most popular.
The most interesting thing that strikes me about it, is that it’s somewhat reflective of the Tardis. It gives her a very rectangular silhouette. The bars on the collar and hem of the coat kind of emulate the top and bottom frame of the Tardis. The pants are a similar big rectangle of blue as the door. The bar of stripes sort of emulate the Police Call Box sign above the door. The stripes and suspenders kind of emulate the windows. It all looks very intentional to me.
The Wanderers in the 4th Dimension Doctor Who podcast that I co-host just wrapped up its coverage of all 26 seasons of classic Doctor Who. To commemorate this milestone, we'll be releasing a special retrospective episode (possibly split into two episodes) looking back at all of classic Doctor Who. If you're on Facebook and would like to contribute to the episode, please post your comments at the link below. Alternatively, we encourage people to submit replies in the form of audio recordings, which we'll then splice directly into the podcast. Content and format suggestions are included at the link below. Replies (comments and/or audio recordings) must be posted by Friday, December 8th (no later than 8:00pm PST). If you're a fan of the classic era and would like to contribute we'd love to hear from you. EDIT: The recording session ran long, so we've opted to split the special into two parts. Since the second part will be released a week later, the deadline to submit replies will also be extended by one week. Any feedback we receive between now and Dec. 15 will be eligible to be read on part 2.
Loved "Twice upon a time". A lot more reflective and subdued than I thought it would be. A great send off to Peter Capaldi, and a terrific introduction to Jodie Whittaker! Great to know she's keeping her own accent. Can't wait for the next season.

The first thing that come to mind is, "NaNu NaNu".
"Mork calling Orson. Come in Orson."
