Neither of my boys show any hint of interest in this. My wife simply comments "why are they redoing this?"... ever single time she sees anything to do with it. They love the mcu and are interested to varying degrees in most comic movies. Wife was Luke warm on the previous DF movies as I recal but didn't dislike them.
I've heard that desire by others. I'm not convinced that'll be the case. Either we'll get a Sony/Disney-type deal or you'll probably see FF get absorbed more into the X-Men movies.
With the success of the X-Men franchise, they really wouldn't need to make a deal with Disney.
Just wanted to find a place to mention that Channing Tatum has left that Gambit project. The future of the project is uncertain. They are looking for a replacement actor. Not sure who that movie was for anyways...
Then, suddenly, Channing's "gambit" played-out and the deal with FOX is sealed. Now we'll have a new comic book franchise that has no reason whatsoever to exist, mon ami.
When Newsbeat asked Miles Teller, who plays Reed Richards, whether he was ready to prove the critics wrong, he replied: "We haven't seen the film either."

I like the first line of the article: "CLEVELAND, Ohio – It looks like we have our first indication the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot may not be very good."
Maybe it's their first indication, but it sure wasn't mine!

Back in the days of Siskel & Ebert, whenever a studio didn't submit a film for critic's viewing, it was a sure sign that the film was likely a disaster, that the studios knew damn well it was going to tank, and that they sure as heck didn't want any bad reviews going out from the professional critics ahead of the film's release.
I'll admit, I'm looking forward this movie's release. Not because I'm going to see it or have any interest in seeing it, but because of the reception. I'm curious to see if it's received by the general populace like an MCU movie.
As much as I enjoyed X-Men, I can't help but feel if that movie was release as a contemporary movie, it'd be more an uphill climb then it was.
Like them or not, it seems the standard for comic book movies (or at least Marvel properties) is the MCU.
Even a die-hard libertarian like me realized that those films were very poorly produced. Couldn't even watch the first sequel. It's been in the queue for months and months... was unaware of a 3rd.
I would have said the same about Spider-Man but it only took 1 bad movie for them to strike a deal.
I think a lot of that deal was because of the Sony hack as well. Yes, ASM2 was a dud, but they were still announcing several sequels up until the hacking.

As far as I know, Sony had Spider-man & cast. Fox has FF & X-Men, which has been successful. I can see them merging the two if FF struggles/bombs to form its own connected universe.
Sony didn't really have that luxury outside of Spidey characters.

I see this as Marvel's equivalent to the Batman And Robin film.
With the success of the X-Men franchise, they really wouldn't need to make a deal with Disney.

Excellent evasion with that 'non-answer'

There was an Atlas Shrugged: Part Two!?

Hold up now 'haters', it's only ONE review...

UPDATE: Oh wait, there's several more.
Unfortunately I remain skeptical that FOX will EVER relinquish this property. Especially while there appears to be a boom in superhero films.
Now maybe we can hope for a FOX hack?

I think this is the one franchise more then Spider-Man or X-Men who need the Marvel Studios treatment to be great.
And maybe Fox will realize if the wanna make any real money off of FF then they need to workout some kind of deal with Marvel
Will that happen? Probably not but one can hope.
