Also, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with Coulson's "muscle memory" last week during the jungle firefight.
another indication that he isn't working with human muscles. i knew they would have to address his death but this is telegraphing it little. I soo want to like this but ham-handed is right.
I'm just angry because clearly there was a bit of fanservice when Skye jumped off the balcony in the previews which was systematically edited out of the actual broadcast.
ABC, I am a manga/anime fan and you do not trifle with our upskirt shots in that manner.
/What? She's not a great actor, but she's cute! :)
Actually... ABC has just announced a full season order for the show. I guess they think they've finished hemorrhaging viewers and can stabilize it. Also, there are rumors that the feedback for this last ep was encouraging and there may be some behind the scenes retooling. Regardless we're getting 22 episodes this year.
It isn't Shakespeare and it isn't the best thing ever or even currently on tv, but its better than most of what is on and its for us geeks. We know how much worse it could be. Sure its not as good as Walking Dead but then compared to Arrow for example, SHIELD practically IS Shakespeare.

I'd argue its no more for "geeks" then Big Bang Theory. Its an illusion that its for "geeks" because it's called Agents of SHIELD, had a couple cameos, & squeezes in Marvel references.

I would say shield is more for us than bbt but that's not the point and doesn't matter. Just meant there has historically been so few and far between programs aimed at us or that really appeals to us comic fans. and the quality of the product and respect to source material we have gotten before is more often than not far worse than this show. It's also virtually unprecedented to get a show so closely tied into a successful and beloved geek film series which even shares some of the same cast. I that's cool even if the show isn't perfect.
Third episode was okay due to Graviton. Wetrats hit on some telegraphed scenes. I watched the second episode of The Blacklist and Red's team and the CIA agent that is assigned to watch them would kick the Shield team's ass. I will watch for three more weeks and then ask the question "If this show wasn't associated with Marvel would I watch it?"
If the trucker SHIELD agent had been called Buford T. Hollis or Ulysses Solomon Archer, it might been a silly enough reference to have kept me on for more. But I think I am done.

Can't agree. Arrow, while mired down in CW pretty-boyness, has been a love-letter to Grell era fans. Eddie Fyers and Shado have shown up, the guy playing Ollie is doing a great job, and we've got Slade Wilson in there as well. Plus John Barrowman's the heavy! This season we're apparently getting Black Canary for reals.
I'd tape over Agents of Shield at it stands now to make sure I don't miss Arrow.
A TV critic on Yahoo called SHIELD, "Lighter then Helium."
That sums up my thoughts on the show. However, to be fair, SHIELD was used as comic relief in the movies. We might be expecting to much for the SHIELD TV to have more weight.
you know, compared to Sleepy Hollow that has a fairly diverse cast, couple brown people, couple biege people couple butterscoth people. or the Walkign Dead which is a happy cornocopiua of nationalities AOS is looking Real...vanilla.

I don't know what's happening, because these writers are far better than we've seen so far. I fear serious network interference is going on.

Skye is the worst... annoying... her story arch makes no sense... she's good with computers... so she makes a good Shield field agent???
The male agent is so boring I don't even remember what his name is
Coulson is boring... a couple witty one liners here and there... but boring overall
May is mysterious, but she gets no air time
Only people I can stomach are Fitz and Simmons
This show won't last one season at this rate
Full season order.

Her dad's name is Bennet Wang, a Chinese American bond salesman in Chicago:

She had to switch her last name to her dad's first name to make it in "racist" Hollywood.
Heh. "Wang".
