I think last night's episode confirmed my feelings about the show from the get-go. It just needed a little time to get going, but now it's gotten really good. Last night's may have been the best episode to date, and not just because of the reveal at the end...
The reveal at the end was fantastic and the cliff-hanger was also very good but this was just a great episode. I love the characters and how they deal with what they were in doing in the episode. It was just great.
I really didn't think they were going to say he was from Mars. There had been some speculation but even then the reveal was still awesome. I wonder if this means the real Hank Henshaw still might turn up? His body was retrieved and he still becomes Cyborg Superman.
When I watched the Pilot months ago I thought it was terrible not even close to being as good as the Arrow and Flash pilots. And with episode 2 I feel the same. I guess, that just shows people have different tastes. I keep trying to grind through episodes of Arrow, but it all just feels like generic trustfund douchebaggery; "Gossip Girl" with arrows. I felt Supergirl has been the best. Yes, the character has been awkward at times, but that's part of the storyline.
Latest episode was a big improvement over the last couple. Much better.
The funny thing is I was saying that BEFORE the last five minutes! So the reveal was a great topper. And I thought they were going to drag the whole "Is Hank really evil?" storyline on for awhile. Glad they tied they up.
FYI: On the latest "Fatman on Batman" podcast Kevin Smith has the second part of his Andrew Kreisberg interview. He spends most time talking Flash but reveals Bizarro will debut on Supergirl later this season!
Watch this with my daughter, she loves this series. Her constant questions and emotional attachment to the characters shows that the show works.. She and I are all in..
TNT has dropped the Teen Titans television series.
TNT Chief Creative Officer Kevin Reilly explained his decision for canceling the show, chalking it up to a lackluster script and the current saturation and discerning tastes of the marketplace.

Kudos to him. I sometimes worry that things might get too out of hand and before we know it we're getting Arion, Lord of Atlantis TV shows...
...not that I wouldn't watch that :) but I think y'all get where I'm coming from. :)
Anyone have any ideas why DC has yet to put a Supergirl comic in print for this show? IMO, t here should've been a Supergirl Season Zero on the shelves as early as late September 2015. However, they're just getting around to releasing a digital comic today.

1) Supergirl has generally sold good but not great. She has her fanbase (of which I'm one) but they've never really known what to do with the character and when someone tries something different it's usually pretty polarizing.
2) Peter David's 90s run (which they're re-releasing starting next month in trades) is a good start, but that's not the Kara people are used to seeing on CBS. The Gates/Igle run would be a better start, but you can still find those trades and - as much as I love them - even they were a hodgepodge of fill-in artists and writers throughout. Less said about New52 Kara, the better.
3) I'm sure the digital version will be collected and printed at some point for us luddites, but it's most likely DC testing the waters before committing to a bona-fide monthly comic. They may be waiting to see if a second season gets ordered before jumping into the deep end of the pool and committing a team to it. After all, they have to free up resources for Harley Quinn Takes a Shit and Batman: Uncontested, right? :)
So again...no really good ideas...I think DC's just trigger shy at this point about releasing ANYthing...
Maybe DC routinely expects female-centered projects to fail, then plays catch-up when something like this becomes a hit. Should we even ask if they have any Kara action figures or toys for the girl fans yet? (Barbie dolls & statues don't count)
I was gonna say, they *DID* announce a Benoist-version of a Supergirl statue, but it's one of those $100 jobbies and my vow for 2016 is to be a better consumer. (So of course 2016 will be LOADED with stuff I'm gonna want...let's see how that Hal Jordan willpower works for me, eh?)
I'll be happy if we can get a regular book and the tv show continues...particularly given the threat toward the end of last night's episode... "There are thousands of us...millions!" :)

With a distinct lack of clothes!
Really enjoying this show now. I was going to, regardless, but it's nice that the show is good in spite of my inherent fandom.
