Now that Sony and Marvel have made nice and Spider-Man has officially been announced as one of the key characters of Captain America 3: Civil War, the release dates of the upcoming MCU films have been adjusted accordingly.
May 6, 2016: Captain America: Civil War
November 4, 2016: Doctor Strange
May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 28, 2017: Amazing Spider-Man 3 (possibly to be retitled)
November 4, 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
July 6, 2018: Black Panther
November 2, 2018: Captain Marvel
July 12, 2019: Inhumans
So immediately, we see that Thor: Ragnarock, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Inhumans have been pushed back, but I think this means that 2017 is gonna be a very good year.

It's been confirmed WebHead is in Civil War? I know there's speculation, as it'd make the most sense (especially with Dr. Strange the next movie to possibly negate any ID reveal), but I haven't read it was official.
Having just spent listening to contradicting "NFL sources" about "DeflateGate", I can't take "according to a person with knowledge of the matter." Put a name to it or don't report it.
Again, it's more then likely Civil War, but nothing has officially been announced.

I see your point. I see it as an official rep has told the WSJ that it is what it is. I doubt there will be any need to back-pedal it, but an official announcement from Marvel it isn't.
Am I the only person who feels a little "new character fatigue" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? I get that some of the phase 1 actors are starting to want to move on and you should be replace them... but it would be nice if we could establish all of the new characters and stay with them for a few years. I'm probably just being cranky old man though.
Nope on both counts. I don't believe there needs to be talks of replacing actors; especially since I haven't heard any of them looking to move on.
I have no problem with the new characters either. You can pull back on the exposure of the current characters (saving the studio cash on RDJ & being a burden for the actors) and actually expand the MCU.
Look, hearing there are allegations WB wants more Batman doesn't bold well for the other characters in the DC. He's a reliable cash cow. I'd hate to see Marvel fall into the same rut by relying on the Avengers characters all the time.
Uhmmmm we're what 17-18 movies into Marvels movies right? They've ALL been Avengers related. Haha. They aren't possibly falling into a rut, they've fallen, got back up, fallen again, dug a deeper rut, and built a permanent summer home. Haha.
I wouldn't exactly classify either Ant-Man or Guardians of the Galaxy or even the forthcoming Doctor Strange films as "Avengers related" - although when it comes to Marvel

"Light"? Do you mean the two Marvel Studio movies in 2016 vs. the three each year after? There were only two each year from 2013 to this year, 2015.
Rumor: The ‘Inhumans’ Movie Has Been Canceled Amidst a Real Marvel Civil War
That's fine with me. A couple years ago I would have been excited about the idea of an Inhumans movie but I've become so turned off to them since Marvel has been forcing them down our throats.

I don't even need an Inhumans movie. I have Agents of SHIELD.
Should MARVEL Hire A Black Director For BLACK PANTHER? FALCON Actor Weighs In
“I don’t think [race] important at all,” Mackie, told the Daily Beast. “As a director your job is to tell a story. You know, they didn’t get a horse to direct Seabiscuit!”
“The thing is I don’t think the race of the director has to do with their ability to tell a story," Mackie clarified. "I think it’s all about the director’s ability to be able to relate to that story and do it justice. I think men can direct women, and two of my greatest work experiences were with female directors. So I think it all depends. May the best man - or woman - win.”
Good on Howard. Somehow I doubt that Howard Mackie is going to get the same backlash Matt Damon did when he didn't think diversity behind the camera mattered as much as merit either...
I want the writer that tells the best story & the director that best brings the story to life on projects. I really don't give a shit about the genetic make up (or beliefs...within reason) of those people.
