I had thought it was Sousa from the very first episode. Although it would be interesting if it wound up being Jack Thompson who seems to have come around to having Peggy on the team but Sousa is my frontrunner.

I have to say I am really enjoying this show. I don't watch a lot of TV…. maybe 8-12 hours a week and most of that is the news and SportCenter. But I have found myself making sure I catch this each week.
One question…. the Black Widow program. I don't remember that from the comics…. of course the only Black Widow stories I ever read were the stories where she was with Matt Murdock/Daredevil. So when and where was that backstory created/told in the comics? Or is it strictly movies? (I haven't seen the Avengers movies)

It was retconned into the comics in one of the Black Widow miniseries in the early to mid-2000s.
Well, the early appearances of Natasha, in and out of costume, certainly gave some hint of it. Not so much her first appearances, which played her a a typical femme fatale spy, but later on, there were some suggestions that she was trained physically and mentally, and (perhaps) programmed to be a super-spy.

Yes, but not as part of a large program designed to train female assassins. When they did start talking about her training, it was always stated that she was brought up and trained alone by one man. The Black Widow Program stuff came much later.

They were handcuffed to their beds during their programming, presumably to keep them from trying to escape. It's been engrained into her, so she keeps doing it because at this point it feels comfortable.
Side note - Winter Soldier: just re watched it & had observed Stark Tower now has the Avengers logo. Also, it's speculated Stark issues Wilson a new suit. Could this get the same manipulations the Iron Spider suit had for Tony?

I don't watch a lot of new shows… and I don't have a DVR. So this has become must see TV for me every Tuesday night. Like Matt, I'd love to see this get another mini. I'd rather see short seasons like this where the quality is top notch and the possibility of any disoriented sharks are highly unlikely to be jumped.
1.) seeing a red scarfed, slouch hat wearing figure hunting the Russian 2.) the villains were looking to take Steve's blood 3.) Scarlett Johansson to up the ante on her acrobatics in her next Black Widow role

It's the same picture she kept in her desk.
BTW: Looks like the One-Shot is now non-canonical as the series is an expansion of the concept, rather than a prequel or a follow-up.
After seeing them together in the most recent episode, I am officially shipping Peggy/Dum-Dum.

Peggy's husband was rescued by Cap in the ETO.

Couldn't they have cut the back side of the best or fried the circuits by soaking in water?
