I tried to get into Once Upon A Time, but -- apart from it being up against The Simpsons -- I just couldn't help thinking, "Gee, this would have been so much better if it had been Fables instead..."

Damn, that was fast! I'm not even sure yet if it's really a good show or not. I fell asleep during the second episode. (Not the show's fault, though -- I was just extra tired that night.)

I've been digging it. I think they have a plan an I'm curious to see where they're going.

My wife and I get a kick out of it. It's silly fun.
Am I the only one loving the hell out of The Black List. Plot holes be damned I just enjoy watching James Spader be the smartest guy in the room. He could have a show called Chewing Scenery and I'd be in. I may have to go buy the box sets of Boston Legal just so I can maintain my buzz.
ALMOST HUMAN... The wife and I have watched the first two episodes and have enjoyed it. Not blown away by it, but we will definitely be watching it going forward.

I watched Almost Human on Sunday. I was like you; I enjoyed the show and will probably continue to watch it. It wasn't great, but it was enjoyable. I don't need The Wire with every show (or most shows for that matter). Most of the time I just want a show I can watch. It also reminds me of an older Fox action show, and I've kind of missed those.

I liked it. As pretty much everyone has said, there's nothing to be blown away by in it, but the chemistry between Karl Urban and Michael Ealy overcomes a lot of shortcomings. Procedurals or even semi-procedurals live and die on the chemistry of their leads, because at their heart, storywise, they are all basically the same.
The ratings took a pretty big tumble between Sunday and Monday, so here's hoping it doesn't get cancelled prematurely.
My guess the sunday ratings were pretty inflated. There were probably a lot of guys like me who were watching football finish up and waiting on the simpsons and bobs burgers. Mcfarlane sucks thank gawd he was not allowed to do the flintstones. Heck I didn't even know what night it was coming on regularly. I'm going to try to watch it next monday
As Far as Almost Human goes. I liked it a lot. I was stunned at just how much Blade Runner influence it had.
Admittedly, I'm a member of Ye Olde Farte's Club, but this Barry seems way, way young. Feels more like a Peter Parker than a Barry Allen.
Of course he looks too young, it's the CW. It is one of the things that I just let slide. The CW is going to cast young pretty people, okay I accept that. (And honestly at the point most doctors I meet don't look old enough to shave so...*shrugs*. One thing I liked about the casting is the kid looked lean like a runner, not too bulky.

You raise good points. Just have a hard time imagining this version of Barry Allen not getting crucified on the witness stand. At the end of the day, I'm going to take a wait and see attitude.

Sure, that's all any of us can do, really. I had a hard time with the Lois Lane character in Superman Returns. I just couldn't believe that kid was a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist. She looked 2 days into grad school (maybe!) to me but... We suspend our disbelief. Frequently those little things are harder for me to take than the big ones, you know, like superpowered alien from another planet tried hard to fit in with 21st century American society...

Probably not, and for good reason.

A friend recommended I skip the first season.
I ignored that advice, and am glad I did, because seeing the show get so much better was fascinating.
I chuckled through the first season and ROARED through the first episode of the second.
I'm curious to everyone's thoughts on season 4.
Loving the 4th so far.
And yeah so far this season has been nothing like I've expected. And that's a very good thing.
Happy to get some Flash on TV.
