Alan Moore and Kevin ONeill have a new kickstarter that's about to end up n February 16. I just saw it, and thought some of you might be interested.
Thanks! Had no idea about this. (You'd think they could have had a house ad for this in Avatar books, but I guess that is old fashioned of me, to want to find out about Kickstarters via paper).
Also, that little promo short on their kickstarter page (as well as Moore's new haircut and suit) make me want him to be in the new series of Twin Peaks episodes.
I just threw in on this. Hate the GBP exchange rate and the extra for shipping (though I definitely UNDERSTAND it), but this book, if it pays off, is simply too sweet to ignore.
I didn't do the Kickstarter, but I just picked up a copy of this today at my comic shop. They did a really nice job with it, and it looks like it's going to be a really fun read.
If you love wrestling and comics then check out From Parts Unknown - a comics anthology about pro wrestling, which is being funded by a newly-launched Kickstarter campaign.
There's only about 6 days left on this and we're almost to the goal. This is a softcover collection of his webcomic: MOLEBASHED. The strip is written and drawn by Wes Molebash and follows him as he navigates being a husband and new father. Good ol' family fun. Here's some sample strips:

Already backed this ...hoping for some helpful tips... expecting my first end of Sept
Congratulations. Boy or Girl? I can give some solid tips for little girls, I've only got one for little boys ( look I've only had him out for 10 days). When the diaper comes off you are in the firing line. Keep your head on a swivel because he is going to try to spray you. It happens from diaper change one.

Always have the fresh diaper in position above the target before you pull back the used diaper. Better to waste a diaper and only have to clean the boy and the changing pad than have to clean... whatever else might otherwise get hit. It's only really a problem the first few months.

Truth. One of the most traumatic moments I had as new father was getting surprised. I got out of the way in time. I did not get him shielded in time.
Yes. I allowed my son to pee in his own face.
To be fair, it was 4:00 AM and our first night home with him.
After that, I always had a sacrificial diaper ready to go.
Protip: when you carry him/her to the tub for bathtime try to cover their business ends with a towel during transport to the changing station. It's better you get wet (and replace the towel) than the floor or walls.
I remember the ineffable @JamieD championed this series some time ago on a PREVIEWS episode. It used to be published by Image, but looks like it's independent now. Imagine if the book were called Draco Malfoy and the Sorcerer's Stone instead of Harry Potter... and instead of wizards and muggles, it included superheroes and villains. The art looks really solid, and I remember reading issue #1 when it came out. They're $4,000 away from the goal with just a few days left. You can pick up both hardcovers for a $40 pledge ($24 for a single HC). There's also sketch tiers and original art tiers.
For those who need added incentive to check it out, Jacque Nodell is ALSO the Granddaughter of Martin Nodell....creator of Alan Scott, the Green Lantern.
Through podcasting on the LanternCast, Jacque has become a friend of mine and it's been a pleasure to watch her excitement build as this project takes shape. I HIGHLY recommend you share this one far and wide if you can in it's final 13 days.
EVEN STAN LEE HIMSELF RECOMMENDS IT! So if ever there was a sure thing...
Now YOU can color the art of P. Craig Russell! This project brings Eisner and Harvey award-winning artist P. Craig Russell's beautiful and delicate imagery to the coloring book format—with artwork that is personally hand-selected by the comic art master. All for your coloring enjoyment!
Is this something that might even make an old uncle rat bastard consider buying a coloring book. Happy belated birthday @SolitaireRose!
Kieron Gillen's alternate history WW2 epic of Axis Germany developing the first enhanced humans returns with UBER: INVASION! This Kickstarter has met its goal, but there's still time to get on board if you're a fan.
Time to get kicking: Blood Brothers (Hermanos de Sangrene) - All I know is it is a luchadore and a mobster. I wiil back a wrestling comic (especially if its lucha) or a crime comic in a heartbeat. So Blood Brothers pretty much hits most of my sweet spots. It is by Fabian Rangel Jr, who created one of my favorite comics of 2015 Space Rider (please look it up on comixology).
Blood Songs - Ben Templesmith is making an OGN about Vikings.

Alan Moore looks good; last time I saw a picture of him he looked like he was about to die.

It just arrived today.
One of the longest, most frustrating waits I've ever had on Kickstarter..but it's finally here I guess.

And if you're still not convinced, they've got the first trade and issue #1 of volume 2 in PDF format for you to download before you make your decision (check out the "Updates" section of the KS page).
So, THIS project.
This is the first Kickstarter led project by Jacque Nodell. She runs the Sequential Crush blog about romance comics.
