I don't know how Lady Death does in the direct market, but Brian Pulido seems to do extremely well on kickstarter. He's had a new Lady Death kickstarter every 3/4 months for the Last year. Each project appears to be more successful than the last.
If you dug Archie comics AND those old Richie Rich/Hot Stuff/Casper comics, but you've grown up and want a bit more of an adult slant to them, this is your book.
I backed Vol. 1 (which you can add on here if you missed it) and it was worth every nickel. Dan Parent is a talented former Archie artist and a fun guy to meet at a convention. Still have my Betty (from Archie) as Black Canary framed on the wall.

I bet his digital sales are surprisingly high.
Lady Death hasn't been in the direct market since being published at Boundless. Brian is a cool guy, I've had the chance to meet him several times. He's very engaging with his fans so it makes sense for him to use kickstarter where he can interact with the fans and backers.
To back up what Greg said: Brian's a very fun person to talk to and while I was never big on LD - or horror-based comics in general - when she was originally being published, I try and back him on these when I can.
Also it's insane the freebies you get for just a $20 backing, based on the success of the campaign. You get an amazing return on your investment.

I've backed the Off The Record Gerry Conway and Jim Shooter Interview DVDs, the Larry Hama action figure and I just backed Steve Bryant's Athena Voltaire and the Sorcerer Pope.
Just found out about this and will be backing it. I enjoyed all the Gorilla Comics titles back in the day and would love to see this come to fruition. I urge any Karl Kesel or Tom Grummett fans to check it out.
At the age of 77, Mike Ploog has decided to officially retire to start spending his time relaxing with friends and family, so he has decided to stop doing commissions, conventions, and comics. Join in this Kickstarter for his final project 'Thicker Than Blood' which will be his last new published comic work.

Lifted: Of Gods and Thieves is a book that I adapted to a comic script from an audio drama script by Shawn Pryor and Keith W. Cunningham. The wonderful artwork has been provided by John Rodriguez; colors by Eric White and George Gant; and the lettering will be done by Justin Birch. Logo design was done by Shawn Aldridge.
Just backed the Liberty Brigade graphic novel by Ron Frenz, Barry Kitson, Michael Finn & Mark Waid. They reached their goal of $15,000 in less than twelve hours and are already at $20,000 with 27 days left. If you like obscure Golden Age heroes, check it out.

Brainiac documentary. No, not the Superman villain. The rock band. The Hamill clan support it, Mark, Nathan, and Griffin.
