I just wanted to announce a Kickstarter project I launched recently.
The project is called ‘G.A.M.E. - Graphical Avatar Manifestation Engine’. It is a video game themed comic that follows 3 heroes through their adventures in a simulated game world built around unique powers, fun characters, and great action!
I thought that you might want to take a look. I hope everyone here finds it interesting. If you like it, share it on facebook, twitter, and other social media to help us spread the word. If you love it, pledge! For $5, you can already become one of the minor/background characters in G.A.M.E.!
I'm backing this one because it's going to be drawn by a very talented artist whose work hangs on my wall. Also you can't beat some of those incentives - yes it's another people v. monsters book, but dude...you can get yourself IN the book as a victim or as someone who kicks a monster's ass. I can vouch for C. Guttierez' art abilities.
I'm also running a campaign for our new book, Monstrosity. Think monsters and mayhem and you get a good sense of the book.
We've brought together some brilliant talent in the collection. J. Bone (IDW's The Rocketeer), Shawn Aldridge (IGN Editor's Choice, A Best of 2011, and the Stumptown Comicfest's Reader's Choice Award for his Vic Boone series) and Michael Walsh (IDW's The X-Files and Image's Comeback) to name a few. I'm super proud and pumped to get this beast out there!
So it's not actual comics, BUT! Doug TenNapel has created some great books in the past (Creature Tech, Ghostopolis, Earthboy Jacobus, and most recently Cardboard). The pedigree of these three creators should be enough. I would chalk this one up to something like a playable comic. Whatever. I shouldn't have to defend awesomeness anyway. :D

I had to look him up. This is the guy that created 2 of my favorite video game series ever. Earthworm Jim and Neverhood/Skull Monkeys. Both of which are/were incredible. You gotta put that in your pitch as to why this is going to be great.
I threw in on TenNapel's sketchbook and holy crap was it awesome. I got sketches from him, actual pages FROM his sketchbooks, and a sketch in the book itself! And yes, Earthworm Jim is a thing of beauty.
I also embraced my inner pervert and backed Jim Balent's latest Tarot trade. Let the haunted vaginas begin!!!
Seems like if I read it in the Bleedingcool.com list of articles I am very much more inclined to support it. Guess you could lable me a "jump on the bandwagon"-type of fan.
Every single person on this board should be backing Guns of Shadow Valley. Dave's a friend of the show, a friend to many of us, and even if you don't know the man, I can almost guarantee if you're a fan of great artwork you *will* love what you see in this book.
Plus they have super reasonable rates for what they're offering as opposed to some kickstarters in the past I've supported.
Thanks for the love for Guns of Shadow Valley. Dave and I are really excited about the possibility of being able to finish this thing we started, and to put a beautiful book in everyone's hands. Your support is very warmly appreciated.
Wow, guys! Thanks so much for the support. I know I don't make it to the message board much anymore, or any message boards much anymore for that matter, but it's great to know I've still got friends here pulling for me. The Kickstarter is going awesome so far, and I hope we can keep up the momentum. Tell your friends (shameless, I know!) and thank you!
I just need 148 more people to contribute at the $35 level (where you get the book) to make the book happen. So if the page intrigues you, please support.
Hey All, I'm a big supporter of Kickstarter and am now actaully running a campaign of my own. If you have a few minutes stop by my campaign and if you can, support us. Max and Thorne is a fun all age comic that I do with my son and Dafu Yu. Thanks!

I'm gonna have to see if I can nab one of those commission deals.

It's to compile existing and new interviews with Pulp, Horror, and Speculative writers.(A surprising # of which are comic fans)
