I agree with you guys, though. I think I've funded about 30 projects in the last year or so, and have only received the final product for like five. I know waiting is a part of the deal, but so many in the pipe right now. Going to take fewer chances for now.

Well it is pretty obvious that backing something is a risk, but the numbers of things that go ahead versus the number of dicks that screw it up is a pretty good ratio.
I've been lucky in that the people who haven't yet delivered have maintained constant or at least regular communication about why - artist flaked out on them, books are still on a boat in China, etc.
Well I'm slowly getting more rewards in. Shadowrun Returns finally went live (i guess I need a steam account). I need to get a few more projects in my hands before I restart pre-ordering stuff from kickstarter.

I decided to drop out of Kickstarter until I started getting stuff, but I've listened to too many Colt Cabana podcasts. I should have just avoided the whole thing but I looked now and funded.
Already hit its goal, but there are stretch goals available. I briefly spoke with him at Denver Comic Con and he was super nice. This will be a great tribute to one of the more memorable characters in film history. My favorite character when I was younger.
The true story of one of the most important battles in the Korean War and the history of the United States Marine Corps. I'm backing this one at the $50 level, which includes the OGN, a comic (No Enemy But Peace), and a sketch. The comic is complete; the OGN is still in production.
So that guy that made Earthworm Jim, The Neverhood, and other such goodness, Doug TenNapel? He released an archive of his sketches over the years in a beautiful leather bound, gold foil stamped, B&W and color book. He's back at it with Vol. 2. This looks like it's going to be his more recent stuff. Get a digital copy of both sketchbooks for just $15 and a physical copy starting at $30. I believe the first volume started at $75 on Kickstarter. I got mine from Doug at the Denver Comic Con for $100. They've been on eBay for upwards of $350. Not that you would want to sell these great books. Enough chit-chat, check it out here.

I bought the first one via Kickstarter and I'll totally be throwing in for this one as well. Just debating whether I want an EWJ sketch or not with it...
Ten bucks more? DO IT! I did. When I bought my copy from him, he drew a picture of Skinny, the boney horse from Ghostopolis on the title page (the first book of his my son and I read together). I'm happy that all the stretch goals keep getting met. He's having to come up with more and more, which just means better things for you and me! I'd love to do more, but I can't really afford it.

Nelvana of the Northern Lights was produced during WWII when American books weren't shipped into the Great White North to save money on luxury imports (like comics!?!?). Canadian creators and companies began making their own books and characters and Nelvana was one of them...
The book - around 175 pages of archived material in b/w with a rare color book also included - runs $30 CAN which comes to $29 retail right now for USA buyers. So you can even save a buck! Who knew?!?
Watch the video and you'll see that the two women behind this project are truly passionate about it...I think this'll be one of the best books to ever come out of a kickstarter project...and I've seen some good ones!
Doug TenNapel's Sketchbook Archives Vol. 2 ends in 3 days. We're only a couple hundred dollars away from having a genuine leather bound book (sorry PeTA)! If you enjoy IDW's Artist Editions you will love the look and feel of this book. For as little as $30 you can get Vol. 2 and get PDF versions of both Vol. 1 and 2.
