@JimKelly: I was in Target yesterday, and there was a huge Hulk cut-out bursting from the ceiling at the toy department, and a set of big green footprints in the floor leading to the Avengers toys.
They are really marketing the hell out of this thing. Does this seem like a Marvel Studios trend to anyone? (no positive or negative connotation)
They really are. I'm not, like Pants, an absolutely no spoiler guy, so it doesn't bother me at all. Although, I wish Disney could have spent a bit of this money on marketing John Carter.

Heh, I have a Hulk cutout from The Incredible Hulk.
I imagine the one you mentioned is different from it.
What I found interesting is that there's one or two action scenes which haven't featured at all in any of the marketing. If you think you've seen it all then I don't think you have.
Marketing over here has kicked in, but with $230m+ on the line I don't blame them.
The Avengers is breaking records right out of the gate. The film opened in several countries today and some of the estimates have come in. $6M in Australia, $1.2M in Taiwan and $700K in New Zealand. That's already nearly $8M from only 3 countries.
In Australia, it's the second highest opening of all time, right behind the last Harry Potter's $7M. It's the highest Marvel opening ever, above Iron Man 2's $1.8M. It's also above The Dark Knight's $2.5M opening. This is the highest opening day ever for a Disney film.
In Taiwan, it's the biggest Wednesday opening ever, the biggest opening day of 2012 and the second biggest opening day for a Marvel film, right behind Spider-Man 3.
In New Zealand, Avengers has the highest grossing opening day ever, beating the last Harry Potter.
I'm eager to see how it opened in other countries.
UPDATE: The Avengers has also made $3M in France and $1.3M in the Philippines for a total of $12.5M.
UPDATE: The Avengers has now made $6.2M in Australia, $2.7M in Italy, $2.9M in France, $1.3M in the Philippines, $1.3M in Taiwan, $800K in New Zealand and $900K in other countries, bringing it's total to about $17.1M.
The Iron Man redirecting beams off Cap's shield was awesome. Along with Cap's order to Hulk.
I think this is actually the non-spoiler thread until the movie is released in the US.Someone started another thread were people who have already seen it can talk about it.

On a related note, how thick is Hulk's skin? Does he cut easily, but heals superfast?
Love the dust and rubble on the Hulk...
He looks a bit gray.... awesome.
HULK NOT KNOW WHERE HULK IS.
WHY IS HULK'S HEAD RINGING?
HULK MOUTH TASTE LIKE MAN THING.

NOT THAT HULK TASTED SWAMP CREATURE CALLED MAN THING.
BUT IF SWAMP CREATURE MAN THING HAD A TASTE, IT WOULD BE THE TASTE IN HULK'S MOUTH.
HULK GOING TO STARBUCKS.
And Tom's right, it's a great set of scenes.
I imagine the one you mentioned is different from it.

Movie was awesome and the after the credits bit was the best ending. I yelled out the name in the cinema.
Avengers ticket pre-sales surpass the previous films combined pre-sales.

I haven't read the posts in this thread because I'm afraid of spoilers. I hope to see it opening weekend and am hearing good things.
