First, thanks to JamieD and David_D for allowing me to post this.
I'm doing a few twenty-four hour gaming marathons as a way to help out my dad's GiveForward effort. All I am asking for is help spreading the word about it.
Details can be found here which can be shared on all of the various social media outlets.
My dad is one of us, any help in sharing this is a great help and truly appreciated. I'm friends with some of you already on facebook and twitter, if you see me making updates and promoting it there or on tumblr, please share them.
Thank you folks.
I would call that something worthy of its own thread (unless you would rather have it in this one).
My wife just informed me that her dream is to one day own a pizzeria in a small town. I then said maybe we could open a comic book store? She said it could be a pizzeria and comic book store, but we'll also have to learn to create our own beer. Dang, I married the right woman!!! \:D/
Well... I suggested we watch V for Vendetta tonight (Nov 5) and she said, "No." :(
I've had this idea peculating in the back of my mind for a while, and now that I have the time I was going to start looking into it. I want to buy a spinner rack to showcase some of my comics (mostly trades or even floppies before I stash them away). I'd love one for my own "man cave," but I would really like one for my classroom. I'd love to put current comic sized trades in them for students to peruse like in the good ol' days. When it's reading time, they can go check out the rack and find some comic goodness.
Anyway, I did a quick Amazon search. Too much to look at in one sitting. How about eBay? :-O Sure, they gots 'em, but a "vintage" rack for $300!?!
It happened a couple of times. I would attempt to post something, then I'd get a message that it required moderator approval before the post could be viewed. I was able to retype the post (including the embed) and it went through as normal. If any moderators happen to be reading this and you see posts my me that require approval, free to trash 'em.
I know that sometimes things are just a surprise, but the idea that a company could let arguably the 2nd biggest release of the year out the door with so many bugs is frustrating.
I had to put it down and walk away. I'll come back to it if they release an update for the Ps3 version, otherwise I'll see if the PS4 in the spring is any better with it, but I wont buy it for just that title.

The PS4 is a purchase at least 2 to 3 years down road after its release for me. By then the cost should be down a little and game developers will have a solid idea of what the hardware can really do.
In honor of 20 years of my favorite rap album, one of my favorite albums of all-time, Enter the Wu Tang. I give my top 5 members of the Wu-Tang Clan Up From the 36 Chambers 1) RZA - The Genius, the man who made the Killa Bees Swarm 2) Method Man - The coolest man in the group. Tical-Tical 3) ODB - Any Wu fan loves ODB without question 4) Ghostface - This has more to do with his amazing solo career than my intial love, but Ghostface is the man. 5) Raekwon the Chef - He created the single best solo album of the Wu-Tang Clan Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Bring on the purple tape.
I'm midway through the first trade volume of Spider-Man The Complete Clone Saga Epic. I had to stop and come onto the forums to say how TERRIBLE Tom Defalco's writing in Spectacular #217 is. Honestly most of the comics I've read as an adult since getting back into comics in 2010 have been from the so-called high-end writers, so I can't really complain.
BUT GOD &^%$ IT this issue is soo bad. I feel like he's writing it for a 4 year old with a brain injury.

Yeah, wait until you get to where they put in Spectacular #226 (assuming it is in the trades).
Terrible, terrible issue, with horrible out of character writing, and a scene that pretty much got me to say, "Okay, that's it - that's not Peter Parker. Peter Parker would NOT do that!"
Quite honestly, while I've found Tom Defalco's writing okay at times, I can't think of a time that I thought it was great, but I can think of plenty where I thought it was atrocious.

Hope everyone has a bang up celebration
Emma Stone can be in any movie she wants but I have not been digging this Jonah Hill cat.

I want a cigar store indian for my room. I've wanted one for 10 years.
All of a sudden, my posts seem to require approval before they appear.
Edit: The issue seems to only arise when I embed a video.

It's probably just a recycled April Fool's joke, but if not, you heard it here first!
I want to like it... but that'll depend upon the writing.

Spoiler: He dies.
I was bummed that I didn't get to see him do it on stage.
Macbeth seems to be having a moment, and getting produced a lot. I am even going to teach it to some high school kids tomorrow morning.
(Which reminds me-- back to prep!)
