I'm not really a sports fan, but I've seen a few good sports films now and then. I just watched Bang The Drum Slowly for the first time and found it interesting, though it took awhile for Michael Moriarty and Robert DeNiro to really stand out for me.
I liked Raging Bull a great deal. Same for The Natural, Field Of Dreams and Nine Men Out.
Over a few days before each baseball season starts we break out out the baseball movies and watch 2-3 a night until opening day. Although Sandlot is a family comedy it's the first thing we watch, it's probably my favorite baseball movie.
@Torchsong - I gave Slap Shot a mention, but tried to steer clear of the pure comedy type movies.
@Chuck_Melville - I'm definitely with ya on Field of Dreams. Basically any sports movie with Kevin Costner is a keeper ... Bull Durham, Tin Cup, Field of Dreams, For Love of the Game. Plan on checking out "Draft Day" at some point as well.
I actually like DC's vision of its proprieties. I'd like to see each character get the time to develop instead of delaying movies to steamroll toward a JLA movie.
1) Big Bang Theory 2) The Middle 3) Community 4) Parks and Recreation 5) Modern Family 6) New Girl 7) About a Boy 8) Surviving Jack 9) Eh, I guess there are only 8
Consider my weekend made and nothing is bringing it down. Wrote up a piece on Red Sonja for my blog last night. Then find that Gail Simone reblogged it on tumblr this morning. :D

Other near misses for me were:
We are Marshall
Rocky
Field of Dreams
Friday Night Lights
Invictus
(Note: For the most part I'm leaving out the true comedies like Caddyshack, Slapshot,
To say nothing of The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh. :)

What about the Big Green, that was maybe the first or second best soccer movie.
I'll go with "Victory" as my top soccer movie.
Shaolin Soccer by a mile.
Vision Quest
Breaking Away
American Flyers (another Kevin Costner flick)
You did it to yourself, man. You did it to yourself.
Didn't see any "cutters" though.
Or Italians.
I liked it.
Who doesn't like Tom Selleck?
Sorry @Matt.
