I just got home from Wizardworld Chicago. I picked up a few things

    Starman Omnibus vol 1
    Watchmen
    The Killing Joke HC
    Chew vol 2
Patchwork vol 1 (Don't know much about this. Thought I heard good things. I saw it in a $5 bin so I couldn't resist)

I picked up two prints. A Venom print from Jim Calafiore and a Green Lantern from Greg Horn. The Green Lantern print gorgeous!

    Regular LCS haul:

Daredevil Annual #1 (did not like - would having any familiarity with Clan Destine have made this better?)
Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #s 99 & 100 (because the Spot, that's why... I don't have to explain myself to you people).

LCS's Big Annual "We Have to Clear Out Our Storage Space" Sale:

    50 Cent books:
Action Comics #595 (first Silver Banshee... I dig her)
Superman #17 (first post-COIE DC book I ever read back in the day, and the reason I dig Silver Banshee)
Rocket Raccoon #2 (wish I could've found the rest, but hey)
Hercules: Prince of Power (2nd series) #2 (finally finished this off!)
    Amazing Spider-Man #s 251 & 269
West Coast Avengers Annual #2 (all the Avengers vs dead heroes, Death, and Grandmaster, part one)
Avengers Annual #16 (and part two!)
    Superman #400
    Blue Devil #s 8-11
    Spidey Super Stories #43

    Dollar books:
Batman #244 (Batman vs Ras al Ghul by Adams/O'Neil... definite reader copy, esp. thanks to the three hole punches that indicate someone used to keep his comics in a binder, but still, for a buck? Hell's yeah.)
Manhunter (Marc Andreyko series) #1 (never have read this)

Saga #6- Fantastic. A solid end to the first storyline with a lot of potential for what is coming up. Continues to be my favorite read of the month. Those that waited for the first trade are in for a treat (and a bargain)

I traded in some back issues for store credit and was able to get the World's Greatest Superhero's hardcover book in slipcase by Paul Dini and Alex Ross for $25. I read the first half of it today and it is fantastic.

Good luck Mguy. I got a feeling even as far north as I am in MS I will lose power for at least a few hours. Already got prepared over the weekend.

We have flashlights and lanterns stashed all over the house. Plus got the generator ready. Loaded up my mp3 player with 8 gigs of podcasts. And have my DS all charged up. So I am ready.

I switched from weekly to monthly on DCBS, and it kicked in this month. I'm going through withdrawal. The box should be bigger though. ;)

After a conversation about Justice League in one of the other threads I made the decision to drop JL from my dcbs pull list because it just doesn't make sense to keep buying a book hoping it will get better. So I replaced it with All New X-Men by Bendis. This is a gamble for me because I'm not a huge Bendis fan but the concept of bringing the original x-men to the future now is intriguing.
