yeah! That is MUCH better! It has enough visual similarities to the original that i can believe i'm watching a Robo-cop movie while still looking more streamlined. win.
And keep in mind that this new version will be just another, additional take on Robocop - it will NOT replace the original. We will always have all the various versions. :-B

So far the only re-imagining that has replaced the original is the Special Edition of the original Star Wars trilogy. I would love to have nice anamorphic Blu rays of the original versions of those three films. But looks like that won't happen. So I will make due with my dvd-rs that are laserdisc rips.

Guillermo Del Toro has confirmed he's working on a supernatural-based DC Comics film.
Two month ago, Latino-Review posted a story about Del Toro working with WB on a film called Heaven Sent. It would feature mystical characters from the DCU like Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, John Constantine, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, Sargon and Etrigan.
Since then, Del Toro has only hinted at the project, saying it was being discussed, to some extent. Now he says they are definitely working on it. He's written the outline and they are in talks with a writer who fans should be happy about. The film is currently being called Dark Universe.

I guess we'll know more in the future, provided the film is greenlit.

So either I think this is going to bomb hard... or I'm going to be interested in the Oscars for the first time in awhile.
I suppose it depends on what movies are nominated.
