I don't generally like the smaller Lego Racers scale cars, but there's a bagged "impulse set" of the Batmobile done in this style that was actually a pretty fun little build. Found it in with the stocking stuffer toys of the Christmas section at Target. Kinda like it better than the last superhero impulse set I picked up, which was Batman with a jet ski (a salute to the old DC Sea World waterskiing show?).
And speaking of comic book Lego, I initially had no interest in the TMNT sets, but the Baxter's robot and Krang's lab sets actually look kind of awesome. There's always room for more giant Lego robots, and come on, a disembodied brain minifig? I'm not made of stone here.
Got the Spider-Man set for Christmas... easy build, but fun. Was going to pick up the Hobbit set of Bilbo's house at TRU today, but that nearly $90 price tag put me off of it! Craziness!

Bag End is a really great set. If you see it discounted its well worth grabbing. The following is well worth a watch as well.
Saw the new $20 level superhero sets at Target. The Spidey/Nick Fury/Venom set is alright (the flying car is kinda cool, I guess, but the Spider-Cycle is kinda meh), but the Batman/Mr. Freeze/Aquaman set is cool. This Batboat/ice vehicle is a smaller but better-looking build than the one that came with the Batcave for the first wave of Batman sets a few years back. And, come on, we get an Aquaman minifig! How cool is that?

Yeah, I want the Batman/Aquaman set. Even though I have an Aquaman customized minifig complete with trident (which looks better than the official one).
I got that Dark Knight set with the Bat/Tumbler. I think's it a bit overpriced (what Lego isn't I guess). The Tumbler is really tiny and the Bat isn't all that great. For $40, I was hoping for more

having built the spidey/nick fury set i must say it is awesome. the spidey cycle and the shield car and the minifigs are all really cool.
We got the Bugle set and the Aquaman set. Still planning on picking up the Spidey Cycle set at some point.
Please share your thoughts about the Bugle set when you get it finished. Tempted to get that one myself.
My wife built it, so I can't attest to how much fun it is to actually build. We both wanted it for two very different reasons - for her, a Doctor Doom minifig, for me, a Jolly Jonah Jameson minifig (and for the diehards you have Beetle and Nova as well!). Her main comment was "Man! No wonder nobody wants to work at the Bugle! It's a deathtrap!" From that I'd gather there's a lot of little fun things going on that you can play with.
Not that Star Wars has the best record in terms of the use of racial / sexual stereotypes (mostly thanks to the prequel trilogy), but the complaint is based on a toy that is, in itself, based on a 30 year old movie. A little late to the party on that one, maybe?
Picked up the Arctic Batman/Mr. Freeze/Aquaman set at the Lego store over the weekend, and that was a great build, probably the best of the Bat vehicles I've put together yet, and certainly the best of the two Bat ski/boats (the one that came with the first Batcave set was too wobbly, I thought). Fun times.
Saw the Arkham Asylum set on display, too... was kinda "meh" about it after seeing it in the catalog, but after seeing it set up, I think it's pretty cool. Out of my price range, but cool.
And oh yeah, after seeing the beret and the fedora among the pieces in the Build A Minifig assortment, he decided to have a go at making the Mythbusters.
He was disappointed he couldn't find a better head or shirt for Jamie, but he did pretty well just the same, I think, and Adam is just about perfect. He said the cop is the guy who's there to supervise their safety precautions.
I picked up two sets last week at Target, a car in the Creator series, but also the Hobbit set "An Unexpexcted Gathering" aka Bag End, or Bilbo's house. I usually sort/build in 30-60 minute spans, and I've already done 4 or 5 of those, and I'm just over half done according to the two instruction books and 4 bags.
Then on Friday I spotted that Amazon had 3 architecture sets from 2009 at 20% - 40%, so average 30%, but it seemed better than that. Expecting those to arrive tomorrow.
I need your help with something: My Birthday is coming up and I am slowly rebuilding my Lego collection (My Mum gave everything to charity about a year ago (WITHOT me agreeing)) and I'm totally lost. Every set I am looking at seems to have something I have a problem with. For example the Mr. Freeze Set with aquaman looks great, but I don't have a Batman yet, and I don't want this stupid white Batman. The Arkham assylum Set is just plain too expensive. The Marvel Sets all don't include Cap (except the one with the Chitauri, and I don't want to get that set just for Cap). And the Star Wars Sets with the cool Minifigs are all very expensive.
The only two Sets I could isolate are the Batcave and the Wolverine Set. Do you have a couple of more tips??

The nephews are sound asleep. I suppose I should follow suit.
